Farragut takes on Pheonix City, Alabama today @ 1, and later this evening @ 5 they host Heritage. Anyone heard anything about this Alabama team?

They can't be too smart - traveling NORTH for spring break.

I think they are rated third in the largest classification in Alabama.

I saw the box scores this morning in the paper, and they lost 7-6 and won 14-1 against Catholic. I say they have a good team coming this far to play some games.

According to the Alabama High School Sports website, AHSAAsports.com, there is a Central High School in Phenix City that is ranked 3rd in the Class 6A Division behind Vestavia and Prattville. Farragut played Vestavia in the Tullahoma tournament last year and they were a pretty good ballclub! We'll know more in a few hours unless someone wants to call Catholic for a scouting report!

Central PNX is not the same. The team we are playing is Glenwood High School

Phoenix City has a good team most every year. The Rasmus brothers live in that area and may play for them and East Cobb in the Summer. They should be a well coached team.

Farragut wins 12-2 in 5 innings against the Pheonix City Gators. They weren't a bad team, they made some good plays definsively, but Philip Heyming did a great job on the mound and the Ad's offense was really unstoppable. Next game @ 5 30 District game vs. Heritage.

Bizzazz- regarding the scores... The one thing you can say about the Phenix City game is they kept the Admirals in the ballpark. I believe it's the first game without a home run. (Waldrop did hit a 365' triple that just didn't quite get out of the park!)
