I have heard that hs students said they would go to RBS before they would come to CLAY whats up with that

clay and hs pretty much dont want much to do with each other.

it would be better for hs to come to the new Clay County high, and would even be better for the tax payers. They should have been here this the fist year. If we had a school board that had enough brass about them, it wold of happened the first year.

It has been that way for years and i dont think it will change any time soon

When you say "HS", you include all. Maybe you don't know your facts. There are a lot of people that like the people from Celina. One of our high school students commented how much they like the new school and said that HS should get to go there also. A grown man turned and looked at her and said "Hermitage Springs doesn't deserve it." How would that make you feel? This happened at the Clay Co./HS game at Celina this year. Someone also commented that they didn't want the "Springers" coming over and messing up their school. I know this was only a couple of situations and all of Clay Co. students don't feel that way, just the same as all people from HS aren't against Celina. It will just take some time for everyone to make the transition.

 

And, yes, it will help all of the sports programs.

The Schools should of been combined this year. As far as the statement made about they done deserve it, I would just say there is a lot of land tax paid by people of the west end, the largest land tax payer in the county lives out there. This new school does not belong just to the citizens on Celina but to all TAX PAYERS of the county.

I think if they conbine the schools that it would help the sports and help reunite these two parts of the county

It's a political matter all the way around. They really should consolidate for many reasons and it will happen down the road.
