Gibbs Invitational Friday schedule

Does anybody agree with me on this point. I am not a big believer in these NFCA/USA Today poll. I saw Soddy last year and not even ranked. Hard for me to believe there were 25 better teams. I feel lots of politics goes into those rankings. I see that in summer ball ranking a great deal. I take those with a grain of salt.

this will be a great tournament, i really think maryville has a chance to come away with at least getting to the championship if they bring their bats to play, they have a lot of solid hitters that can make some pitchers miserable if they come ready.

LadyEagles Fan......On the schedule my daughter has it has Halls vs Hoover at 9:30 at Gibbs SatMorn....Is this an old schedule since Science Hill dropped out?

Farragut played two games tonight, beating Elizabethton 6-0 (Smith pitching) and Allen County, KY 10-0 (me pitching). Allen County played us REALLY tough in the first 4 innings, but they got tired after that. I heard this was their 2nd game playing, so that's understandable. We play GPS for our first game in single elim tomorrow. They're definitely going to be gunning for us since we beat them in the Ooltewah tournament.

 

Anyway, that's it.

Baylor did win. They beat Hoover 5-2 in the finals. Baylor played six games on Saturday, with their first game starting at 8 am and their last game ending at midnight.

 

Meghan Pauls (3rd base) and Mary Catherine Vercoe (pitcher) both hit home runs against Knox Central.
