It all depends on what you look at. Some people balloon numbers. Or, the person could be a genetic freak like the guy at Sevier County who set the state record with a bench of well over 500 pounds, don't know the exact number. We have a kid in Sequatchie who weighs 230 and squats around 540 and benches 315. His power clean is around the 285 mark. He is our strongest. Pound for pound, we have a kid who weighs 175 and benches 280, squats 435, and power cleans 270. He will be a junior next year. Some squats will be higher that others because of the way people call parallel. We call parallel with the top of the thigh is parallel to the floor. It is a true parallel squat. Some call by hamstring being parallel and others call it differently as well. The lifts you look at for football are power clean and squat. Most of the triple extensions are football specific. Keep working hard.
