lazyboy
Does anyone believe Collinwood will be the team to beat in the next couple years. I believe they will be because of there Sophmores. These boys have been playing together since they were 5 years old. They have had great success playing together in the past. Now , there in high school and they started off rough but now they have become into good ball players. This group has the pitching, batting, and fielding ability to become state contenders in the next 2 years. Write and tell me your opinions on this group im just wondering if im the only one who thinks this.
stephenzca
I guarantee they're not better than MP's seniors when they were sophmores so i wouldn't think, plus both CA and MP have soph. talent too. Could prove me wrong tho. Good luck to them if they work at it.
Benji
I've seen these boys play for a long time and they will be a really strong team in the future, I believe they have 3 or 4 sophmores and a freshmen starting, but also summertown has 3 sophmore and a freshmen starting with one sophmore with 7 homeruns and the freshmen with 3, these 2 teams will be the teams to beat in the future. lazyboy
I know Summertown has a strong set of sophmores, like Benji said I too believe Collinwood and Summertown will be the team to beat in the future. Mt.Pleasant also has some good sohpmores that are good, as for C.A. I dont believe there sophmores is as strong as the other 3 up there. They maybe but from what ive seen they aint there. Could be wrong.
stephenzca
Lets just leave it at these four teams will be the good teams coming in 2006. As for CA they will probably have the best pitching out of this group. They have a freshmen in brett Holt that will be a force to hit off of in the future. beantownbaby
Where do the Collinwood players play there summer ball?
Dr.Diamond
I'm from MP. And people can say what they want, but i've seen these kids in action, and they can play. Of course their young and their gonna make mistakes. But they held their ground pretty good against MP Friday. It was 5-0 goin into the 5th inning. They put the bat on the ball really well. Their fielding lacks a little bit but that aint nothin a years work can fix. And I don't know about CA's young pitchers but Collinwood has three I know of that we had trouble with. It'll be close as far as pitching, but I'm looking for an upset Monday if CA don't have their heads on straight. In a couple of years, Collinwood will be a force to reckin with. lazyboy
I don't know bout C.A.'s pitching but I know for a fact Collinwood has two good sophmore pitchers in Adam Stooksberry and Derrick Bryant. It would be hard to find any two pitchers at there age better than them.
fhs_baseballer
I haven't seen Collinwood play but, its hard to believe that they can be as strong as Chapel Hill will be. CH starts five or six sophomores now, depending on pitching They have two of the hardest throwing soph. pitchers (Minor LH and Skelley RH) I've seen in this region. They have 2 more sophomores playing JV that would start on most Class A teams. They have only 2 seniors starting this year and haven't lost to a Class A team yet. They play CA and MP this weekend, but have 4 district games, they need to win. CA or MP probably won't see there best pitchers until tournaments. lazyboy
It would be hard to beat Stooksberry and Bryant. They are some of the hardest throwers in the district and they have got two of the sickest curve balls you will ever see. If you dont believe ask anyone from Perry Co. or Waynesboro. Dr.Diamond
I will say this collinwood is going to be a force for sure they work very hard and they play togather as a team and seem to have a good coaching staff!!!I am from mp and i am saying this!!! as far as the future we'll see!! But i am saying they finish 2nd behind mp this year ? or summertown? if ca don't get their act together!! but mp will take it this year!!! as far as the skelley kid good!! but why did he leave santa fe? and if they don't throw their best againts mp this weekend they will get beat very bad? chaplehill that is
