My understanding is 4pm and 6:30pm at the Ballpark at Farragut. FHS and Sevier Co. in the first game, and Maryville-West in the nightcap. Further, Saturday's games are currently scheduled for 10am and 12:30pm. If I can get further information (like a real bracket), I'll update this thread.

I'm presuming West is the #5 seed, based on an earlier post.

I'm now getting an inkling that etcoach's post has the facts in the right order. As etcoach said, my new info is that the blind draw is the last tie-breaker, after records vs. higher-ranked teams is exhausted.

At this point I won't be surprised at anything. ;)

If that's true I'll see everyone at South Doyle Friday afternoon.

No Volburgers from Sam 'n Andy's this time around.

OK -- this is how I understand it at this point. At FHS Friday: 4pm Sevier Co. - Farragut 6:30 - Maryville-Heritage. Losers play 10am Saturday; Winners at 12:30 Saturday. Similar schedule at South Doyle for the remaining 4 teams. According to another post elsewhere on CoachT, that would put Wm Blount vs. West, and Bearden vs. South Doyle. The tournament would resume at the highest seeded remaining team on Monday.

The safest bet is to get the straight skinny from your team's coach. In talking to another District 4 coach tonight, there may be changes in game times.

Has anyone played recently at South-Doyle under the lights? Didn't know if we needed to equip the team with infrared goggles to see the ball come out of the pitcher's hand.

Hopefully they have been repaired since our game with them earlier in the year. Maybe we can hire Hiwassee Vol to do brackets for the 4 AAA tournament.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
