Just a guess, but if they win out it will be tough to jump them.

I don't think they'd jump an undefeated team. As worthy as Farragut is, undefeated in southern California is undefeated.

Even if Chatsworth wins out there may still be a slim possibility of Farragut getting a Co-National Championship with Chatsworth based on Farragut playing many more games. Who knows?

Chatsworth is winning 5-0, its the bottom of the 5th. They had 3 hit batters & 2 hits and 1 error in the 2nd scoring 4 runs (ouch).

Well, it makes one wonder how the voting is conducted. After a national runner-up finish in 2003, and finishing the 2004 season as the second-ranked team, the Admirals were placed at number 3 in the final Baseball America poll.

The Admirals should still be proud, and know they have brought national recognition to Tennessee HS baseball in general, and East TN baseball in particular.

 

I think another banner is needed in the Admiral batting cage!!

#2, #3, #4....it's all subjective. Absent a national high school tournament, we'll never know for sure.

 

Being mentioned with the nation's elite is something to be proud of. Congratulations to the Admirals for the attention they've brought to area high school baseball.

 

The Farragut Class of 2004 has been a part of one of the great programs in state history. They took on any and all-comers and have helped to elevate the focus on high school baseball throughout the Knoxville area (just look at the improvements being made to various facilities and the new coaches in the league).

 

It remains to be seen whether Farragut's run will continue in 2005. But nothing can take away from legacy they've established. The 2003-2004 Farragut teams will always be mentioned with the great programs in state history.

Now with the 2004 season over and the rumors that Farragut may one day move to 3-AAA. That doesn't seem real fair with the two teams that just played for the state championship in the same district.

Can you tell me where Farragut ended up in the StudentSports FAB 50 rankings? I am too cheap to spend the $5.95 to find out myself! I did see where they moved up to #6 in the USA Today national rankings. Thanks,
