Any Big Up coming freshman for Ooltewah?

I have heard there are some good size football players that will be freshman this year at Ooltewah. Some of the names I have heard is Corey Richardson(OL), Kyle Matthews(LB), Blake Mcelhaney(FB). Someone was telling me about this kids, I was wondering if anyone knows about them at all. I know there young but someone may know something about them. I have heard numerous things about them. I can't get over what someone was saying about a kid named Blake Mcelhaney, he is 6'2 or taller, and weighs 222 lbs and is a full back that dominanted last season in in middle school. That sound to me like a big boy. The others i have heard that they are really strong. Let me know if anyone knows anything. Thanks

The freshman team from ooltewah is very good. Cory Richardson (me) is only playing defensive end this year and only a few on offense. Our linebacker is Rob Matthews who also plays guard on the OL. Blake Mchellhany is a big kid im not sure how tall or how much he weighs but he is a good fulback. We also have a real good outside linebacker named Garyson Caldwell, he is Dewayne's younger brother but is already about the same size. This year we are 6-0 going into our last regular season game vs. soddy.

yeah i heard the team was having problems gettin people to play them i am not sure if it is because they are soo good or if people just dont wanna play them for some reason... good job freshman team... the only player i know is rob matthews cause i am good friends with his bro.. he is massive for a freshman look for him to maybe be playin next year!!

I would watch out for upcoming quarterback Connor Pepping. He has a powerful arm and great accuracy. The only thing that may keep him from being a star is his ability to read his second and third reciever. There are times when he panics when his #1 guy is covered and he decides to run with it. Yet, he is still one heck of a qb and you may see him in action next season. :D

      One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.

      If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.

      I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
