If you are reading what I wrote it is not a cop-out! It would be a cop out if I was trying to excuse his actions, which btw I am not. I am just wanting us to realize that Christians are not perfect and that before we make statements "I thought they were a Christian school" it is not representative of every Christian at that school or everywhere else. Yes, what happened should not have happened with a coach period. That is why I chose not to make excuses or justifications for his actions. I am wondering since you were right there, did you actually see him punch this man or the young man throw the water? I am reading on here about all these things that happened and am wondering how much is factual. To me it doesn't change anything a coach should not do that. Just curious about the facts from the people who witnessed the events, not just heard about it. Thanks for your comments and sorry you thought it was a cop-out statement. I am not going to argue with what you are saying, but I would like to clarify something for you. It would be great if when people became Christians they also became perfect. To say "This is supposed to be a Christian school" you are saying that Christians have to be perfect. I am sorry that the events happened, but Christians nor anybody else are perfect. So just because someone messed up that doesn't discredit them from being a Christian or it being a Christian school. Again, as a Christian I am sorry this happened at a Christian school, but I have learned that just like any school not everybody that goes to a Christian school is a Christian. Just like everyone who goes to a public school is not an atheist or a bad person. I am not closely associated with Grace, but my team plays them often so I know people there. I hope this makes sense. As a Christian I am sorry you feel the way you do about Christians.

I don't think Grace fans want to get on here and carry on a conversation that doesn't help nor change the outcome on the field. If they talk like they are going to win you will bash them. If they talk like they have no chance then they are not really fans. It is better for them to keep quiet and let the students play the game instead of joining us in trying to win the message board game. Good luck to both! How about the Silverdale and Copperbasin game? Old pirate is getting worked up because South Pitt wants to schedule a bunch of powder puffs and they are not going for it. I went to a Grace and South Pitt game and they did not travel well. I am sure it is because when they play Grace they know it will be a mercy rule game. So that doesn't help Grace's gate. Does Grace travel well to South Pitt NOOOOOOOO!!!!! So why the big deal about playing Grace? Silverdale, Boyd and Grace give each other the best gates by far I am sure. OP thinks it is ok for South Pitt to schedule Powder puffs but nobody else can. Every time we have to go and play at Grace Baptist there students are crazy. I don't think I have seen a better student section. I wish our school had that kind of spirit!

Call Copper Basin! They always schedule hard teams and I know they wanted to play you in the playoffs.

This all-state team is a joke. My understanding is you must be a member to be eligible and your coach has to come to the meeting to vote for the player. Not to take away from those who are on it, but there is no way Raquis is not on the team.

I heard that rumor was not true. I heard that there was some AD's who called to find out if this was true and the tssaa said they would not do it. Lucky for South Pitt they won't have to play my Silverdale boys. Just kidding, but we will surprise some people once we get a coach. Maybe Vic will take that job.

Having seen my team play and lose to Copper and Grace, I would have to say Grace is the much better team. Copper can win and should, but Grace was faster, stronger, and better than we thought. Don't overlook Grace just because they are 2-4 and coming of a 0 win season. My pick Grace by 7

They have played Whitwell and Silverdale! Those are two very good football teams.

Either your jealous or your team got beat by him. Herman plays my team every year and beats them. Can't stop him. The Chattanooga paper said he was a finalist for McDonalds all-American team. He must be overrated! Go Grace and Arts since SD is out.

I am a public/private guy and I will say that I have seen and heard equally public and privates recruit. I have even seen privates school kids get recruited by public schools as crazy as that may seem.

What seed did Copper get for the baseball tournament?

Coming in simply means that we have guys coming into our program. Our middle school, other schools, and guys who just didn't play before. Just like every other school. We have a great coach and this will be the year that we compete for the region with SP gone.
