Hey Gradfromthenest, you are a complete idiot! Ooltewah will not be able to stay on the field with Central. Central has too much team speed, which Ooltewah does not have. Ooltewah is a very good team but Central is loaded with Athletes. As for Tyner, yes Central got whipped last year but i think that is because Central just didn't mach up with Tyners size last year. Central had as many Athletes as Tyner, just not enough beef up front. I think Central will do alot better against the Rams this year. I even think they will probably beat Tyner. Gradfromthenest, i guess you just cant stand the puds taking it to you like they did last year. As Central's pre-game intro states as the run through the tunnel...WE READY!!!

Im not well liked on coacht so ill be careful what i say form now on. Beau is not 19 iv grown up with him since the 6th grade at brown middle and i know hes not 19 (not that that will stop you from believein what you want). Tyner is a great football team they were last year and they will be this year no doubt, it will be a great game to watch i cant wait. Ill say that i wouldnt mind bein called a "Pud" by a team that i beatlike a drum last year. Ooltewah is has a great football program every year and ill expect no different this year. Central isnt yelling "dynasty" i think everyone knows they arnt there yet so dont act like they think that. All our people are saying is that things are looking up for the pounders. I dont know how good they will be this year until i see them play in a game. Tyner and Rhea will be big time games for central this year. We love our pounders and we are proud of 'em; both players and coaches.

noone has a current beef with you pounderfootball, and the fact that, unlike pounderman44, you actually weigh your comments before making them is a big thing on this site. as for pounderman44's comments... thats ludacrous... Alot of your Central fans are making ALOT of talk out of Centrals team from the first above .500 team in quite sometime. and making more of the fact that your team(who really were quite good last season) beat down an Ooltewah team that was VERY young, and has grown up quite a bit now, at the time... fact is we dont know how these teams are going to perform this season. I do think Ooltewah will be stronger than Central this year for the same reason yall think Central will be the better team... A bias towards our respective schools... dont talk so much trash that you cant back it up... oh... and one final note... teh only school in teh area that can match "athletes" with tyner is Brainerd... the rest of us depend on size and coaching to make up the difference

Wow!!! Big talk about Central! Quit talking the talk until you walk the walk.... I guess we'll see if Ooltewah has speed here in about 2 weeks. Ask Cleveland/Polk/and Louden if Ooltewah has speed....

Im not saying Ooltewah is a bad team, i think they will do very good this year. they also have some great players, i really like #45 the linebacker. He really will hit you. I was at the Cleveland scrimmage and yes Ooltewah looked pretty good. But come on, Polk County and Loudon looked terrible. And not only me, but alot of people around me were saying that this was not a very good Cleveland team. I hope the Owls have a great year but not when they play the pounders. Hey gradfromthenest, your right, we all love high school football here in the south. We can't wait till it starts right?

Hey I'm with you POUNDERMAN, I hope Central wins every game...EXCEPT when ya'll play us! I know there's bad blood, but ya'll are right up the street from Hooteville. And since you're in a different classification I would love to see you guys win!

And I also agree with whoever said Ooltewah has more to prove than Central this year! So let's go prove it!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
