The best was probably Barry Stocton. His brother Greg was also very good. Injuries slowed him down some. One of the best lineman was Frank Church. Mike Lunsford was a great defensive back. Some other names: Randy Birchfield, Todd Barnett, Tony Church.

Can't forget Vincent Hitchew. I don't know if I spelled that right!

The late Donnie Tipton could throw the ball like a dart for 30 yards. One of the best people you could have ever known. I still miss him.

Cloudland had only 1 losing season in the 1980's. I think it was 1982, the last time they lost to Unaka. The 1970's I don't know since I was born in 1977 (the same year Elvis died). It was in 1991, my freshman year, that we turned the tables on Hampton. We have consistently beat everyone in the county(except Betsy) since 1991. They have 4 wins against us while we have 15 against them. Happy Valley has 3 wins against us while we have 10(thats counting the years they wouldn't play us,hehe )against them. As for good players, my dad says Danny Jones was a real hitter.
