Personally,

I think Cody Barlow, number 73 from Jackson Co., deserves to have his name on the list. This guy is one of the best on the team. I'm not quite sure of his stats, but he sure loves to HITand it shows!!! Honestly, from the looks of him and his tackles, I'd hate to be the one he's tackling. During games, he goes up against guys 2x's his size, but that doesn't bother him!! They could be 10x's his size and they would end up flat on their backs. This kid isn't afraid of anyone, and on a team with the CRAPPIEST offense(one that would be better, if the coach would play based on talent and not on last names would be better) in TN, he plays his heart out. Win, Lose, or Draw, he is 1 heck of a player who EARNED his starting spot on varsity defense by talent and not by his name! And I'd be willing to bet he goes places!

I thought Brandon was a junior? As Rossanna Danna would say "Never Mind",just noticed the date on this post, Man I need new specs!!!

No metiion of the best Sophomore in the state by far - Rodriguez Wilks? I predict he will go to UT. Unbelievable strength and speed. Great player! Not bad at basketball either, but he will go big time in football.

Region 7-3A Sophmore offensive guard Will Latham, still 15, is 6'3", weighs 235 lbs., wears a size 15 shoe, and he eats 15 lbs of chicken a week. He won a weight meet in Dyersburg for the 219-229 weight class. Has started in all of Ripley's first four games, and Ripley has rushed for over 300 yds in each game. Best of all, he has a 98.7 gpa. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. B)
