I think the advantage of experience , the dogs are a young team this year and that means ,pretty much all of thier starters this year - will be returning for next year in 1-A. But this year they are gaining the experience by playing really powerful, big, teams, such as "needless to say" Knox cathlic"most likely to be state champs" and not to forget Gatlinburg Pittman, Johnson Co.,Happy Valley, and South Greene! Plus the weght-lifting program has really picked up over the past few years and the players on the Bulldog team have really had the want to get better. thumb

Pride is pride, it doesn't matter if your are A or AA. Hampton used to beat all these teams on their schedule just out of pride and desire, and there is none left in Hampton. Hampton used to beat Cloudland. Grant it they beat them this year already, I bet it would be a different game if they played this friday night. Classification is not Hampton's problem right now in football.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
