  1. Most schools aren't going to check that hard if it will benefit their teams. And since he wasn't rated and was really under the radar, why would they question. TSSAA isn't going to do too much checking or they would have already done something to a E TN teams but unless you actually run around with a video camera and catch them red handed which seems like this crew got their hand caught in the cookie jar, they will only do what is really obvious. People find a way to bend the rules or work the system I guess you would say. Sad for the other players on the team though.
  2. That's really what you need to be concentrating on right now the Harlem Shake.
  3. I think EHS will miss Norris. She was a major player in alot of games last year. Dugger lost a good player in her and the Jones girl. I'm sure if necessary he will be out there "recruiting" any talent he might need. He might need an attitude adjustment though. Chemistry plays a great part and getting new players every year is still a challenge to make everything fall into place.
  4. Congrats to the Highlanders, sounds like they had the better game plan. On to the next game.
  5. Yes, Yes I'm a fair weather fan. You are constantly posting so it's not hard to get on here and have a rebutal. Oh, and love the "I'm not the same trash talker" but your on here stating they should get mad and if you notice I said there doesn't have to be mudslingin to make it good. Best of Luck to both teams and may the best team with the fewest errors come out victorious.
  6. Doubt you would have your love for Hampton if Lunsford wasn't there. This doesn't have to be a mud slinging to be a good game. Grow up.
  7. That is where Unaka lost one of their players for the same reasons. Sounds like they have very bad sportsmanship and it is condoned by the coaches. And refs for that matter.
  8. Valley Forge Auction Schedule - A few of the games anyways Wed Unaka vs David Crockett 1:00 Unicoi Cty vs Volunteer 2:30 Sullivan East vs Happy Valley 4:00 Morristown West vs Cloudland 5:30 Elizabethton vs Sullivan Central 7:00 Johnson County vs TN High 8:30 Highlight Games on Friday Elizabethton vs Daniel Boone 7:00 Cloudland vs David Crockett 8:30 Highlight Games on Sat. 9. Unaka's new coach is not using his tools to their full potential. An inexperienced coach, new system and a few other distractions will make it very hard for the Lady Rangers this year. Not using his inside game like they should. When you can't get the ball up the floor and depend on the 3 too much, things just will be very hard this season. Which is sad for the seniors. Sorry to hear about Taylor's injury, sounds like a career ending one (maybe) depends on a few factors. Best of Luck to the Lady Rangers.
  10. As for the "not to leave the girls", I think it would have to have been a unique situation for Chambers to leave. Several have been trying to get a coaching change for years and enough "ammo" was collected to make a change necessary. If you will notice there are always parents that want a change after about 3-4 years or if Suzi isn't getting enough playing time or Sally's feeling gets hurt. High school athletics have become alot about winning - winning programs bring in more revenue which runs other sports programs. As to Chambers, he may go to another system next year but he will have to get a high school certification for alot of systems because they do not let elementary teachers coach at the high school level because it causes alot of scheduling/substitute problems during the season. Chambers seems to be too much of a basketball fanatic to stay out of the game too long. For those that wanted a change - the grass always looks greener on the other side and it may not taste as good once you get there to try it. Best of Luck - Just back the girls and hope for the best. Good Luck Lady Rangers!
  11. Can they play without waiting a year since they have to change residence to "legally" be able to transfer and play right away. I understand they are privates but they are playing in the Single A - regular school classifications. Just wondering?
  12. I think Minton and Dugger are coaching and McInturff wll probably be helping. Wright was also helping but he is now the girls head coach and I don't know who he has got helping him. Should be an interesting year. Best of Luck to them. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. I think East has a sophomore that was voted freshman of the year in their conference last year. I think he played in some varsity games. They have a larger student body to pick from. I hear they may be pretty good. But, who knows. Hope Unaka has a better, more harmonized season this year. Good Luck to all teams!
  14. I've seen officials escort individuals out but most of the time it is due to the language being used and most of the time it was when it was directed at them. Officials are different from coaches, you don't see coaches banning parents from games, I guess it has happened but I have never heard of it. I'm not trying to argue with anyone but these are Kids - young boys and girls and people need to remember this. They are going to have bad games and make mistakes, you just hope they don't do it very often. As far as the 17 in Normandy, that was a different time with different circumstances and there are very few young men of that age today that could probably do that now or want to get put in that situation. Have a good day!
  15. Many prayers for a speedy recovery for this young man from Carter Co. Sorry his season ended in this way. Best of Luck!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  16. Sweet thought but don't think that will happen. Coaches usually don't want to get involved with that kind of situation. I've seen the same thing at basketball games and it's a much closer environment. Even though emotions run high, adults need to act like adults and remember these are kids trying to play a game. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  17. Don't worry Rangerdad - the AzAz is from the roan and will soon be a dad himself, let's see then if his skin is tough if/when everyone gets to ragging on his kid when they are in school. I agree Unaka is down (for now) but that's true for everyone at sometime. The creekers will rebound and turn things around. When a teams not winning, the first thing everybody does is rag the coach, it's a common problem. I've even read the Azaz when he's not been happy with the coaches at Cloudland. It's easy to get on here and run your mouth and badmouth kids and coaches, it's another thing to go to the gym and support the programs even when they're not having a winning season. Best of Luck to the area teams during the Regional tournaments and by the way Rangerdad the BIG tournament is in Murfreesboro not Memphis (that was baseball). Everyone should just be happy for their teams successes (small or large) and wish these kids the best, because for the seniors it's their last basketball season, unless they go on to play at the next level, but that is still not like playing in your home gym with the crowds a yellin' . Again, Best of Luck to the areas teams. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  18. zaA - let's just wait until your kid grows up a little and starts sports and see how you handle some of the bad mouthing you've given to others on here and see if you might be a little more sympathetic once it happens to your own. I'm not saying it was right but you seem to always jump in there with both feet to make the snippy comments. As stated before if the parents were not happy or the player for that matter - it could have been handled at a better time than during a game and with the events that occurred. Emotions run high and sometimes people let them get the better of them. This really does put the player in the middle and could make for a rough finish to a year that's supposed to be the best one. Hopefully, things will die down and everyone will move on but who knows. And I agree that this could and does happen at alot of schools you just don't hear about it until it's a little closer to home and happens to be posted on an electronic bathroom wall.
  19. Don't think either team played much during the break - so it could be slow going at first. Shoots may take a few to drop but should be a classic matchup.
  20. Better Watch Out - Brother dear will be on here and eat you up on this. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  21. As usually, it's the king and he likes to huff and puff enough to make everyone sick and tired of them before the season starts. I'm sure that the Landers will be very good, but like coach17 - total domination????? Long season, too many variables could throw a wrench into things. Best of Luck to all area teams!
  22. No offense, but losing your starting QB can't help any situation. Since this was your go-to guy all year, it's going to be hard to replace his efforts in just a week. I give this one to Hampton by at least 2 TD's. Have a safe trip and an injury free game. Remember to bring the blankets and keep warm tonight.
  23. Hoping the Rangers pull this one out for playoffs sake. Best of Luck and Praying for an injury free game.
  24. Prayers from Carter County - Hoping for a speedy recovery.
