chris burr .. your an idiot you should just go crawl in a whole and rott for makin that comment! on that note It all depends on the attitude of both teams... if both come out to play... i think sd has the edge but if SD gets to cocky.. which could happen then this will be a blowout. I hope the kees stay focused!

Karns is going to get knocked around. They will not beat SD. Poor karns, they are going to give SD their first win in 2 years.

This one has real potential to be a close game, or a complete blowout. For South Doyle it is simple, STOP ELDER! Tony Elder is an outstanding running back who could rush for 400 yards Friday night, but if SD comes up with some way to stop him, then they have a chance. Something else I believe SD has to do is get the lead early and keep it, because if they take the lead, the whole stadium will be pumped, you could feel the intensity and the excitement when they took the lead against DB early. If SD can keep that intensity going, ya never know. Everything needs to click for SD to win Friday, the kicking game in particular, this game could come down to 1 point, so they need to hit every extra point, so far that has been some task for the Kees. Elder will have his way with the Kees, however, I believe SD keeps him out of the endzone for most of the night. I'm gonna say

i agree with bender... but the kees have to come out focused up.. they cannot think anything less then they have to fight to the death. Elder is good. but if they can just keep him under 100 yards they will when because i dont see Karns D stoppin our runnin, or passing attacks. Its gonna be a long night if Karns cant through it a little to try and be 3 demensional. If all they do is run and elder doesnt do VERY well then theres now way we wont score more points!

31-28 V for SD

Tony Elder could possibly run for 400 yards friday night, but if SD comes up with some way to stop Elder, and EVERYTHING clicks together, then they have a chance. They need to get ahead and keep the intensity and excitement like at the DB game. If they can keep the fans into it then that increases their chances. SD is not a team capable of scoring alot of points, no offense, but the Offense just isnt there, but I think IF they can stop tony then they will pull this one out. Elder will have his yards, there is no doubt, but I believe that SD keeps him out of the endzone for most of the night. But when it is all said and done, the SD fans will be on the field!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
