I've watched and I've watched and now I have a question for the citizens of Elizabethton. Is it too late to get another entry on the Nov. election ballot? It would be nice if this town had a vote on this one. Witten vs. McKinney for Offensive Coordinator in 2005. Remember to vote!!! :D This is a sore spot on the varsity and needs to be fixed. :o

Clue me in??? Isn't Witten coach of the defensive backs? Does that rule apply to assistants or just the head coach? Nothing is going to change in any event, but just trying to figure out your logic. I'm a Cyclone either way, but it sure is disheartening watching, but maybe that is because I'm a #8 supporter at QB. I've been watching him since he was playing peewee and given the time to grow as #7 has this year, the offense would have been much more diverse given that the OC would open minded. That counts the current OC out. Maybe that's why there's been gossip about 8 not being around next year??

VD coach Witten is an employee of the school system. He is a non-faculty coach. He could be OC if Coach Pless would have made him OC. Coach Pless went with Coach Mckinney who has not done a bad job. He is limited because of personel, not because of his ability.

You can not be the Head Football Coach of Head Basketball Coach boys or girls and not be a faculity member. {a teacher} as far as being an assistant or a head coach of the other sports all you have to do is be an employee of the system. If your only job is coaching that sport then that is ok.

Cyclones by 14+ against JC. if they can slow down the run between the tackles. That will be hard with the personel we have on the field. But I still believe we will get the job done.

My point is if you can't get enough getty up about you to finish school, then you should not be in a upper postion on a team. If he finishes school I have no problem with him having a spot on the staff but just because what his last name is and who he is related to does not make it right. I have a college degree and I am no Einstien but they would not give me a spot on the coaching staff. I guess I could be coach #14.

VD, My point is that he has been successful at each step of coaching football for Elizabethton. Grad or not, I'd have him than several of the others. There are good coaches on the staff, but I agree with you. Too many with too many different opionions. Get on the same page, which is something that has been echoed for 3-4 years. Anyway, it is a mute subject and nothing will change. Just conversation. Dream2Achieve, I disagree with the notion that our OC does a good job. You would find a few thousand who disagree with you. I'm one of those who believe in playing younger personnel if they can help the team. They can help the team, but are overlooked, because there are older guys to play. Play who gets the job done is my opionion. The coaches limit the offense by the personnel they choose to use, is the point.

And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few months back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.

    • Shoulders from Macon co.  A creasy protege. Has the best coached team in the area as of late. Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co.
