How good is this team? They seem to have trouble with Houston every year and kill everyone else....

They aren't too bad. But they haven't played anybody outside of Houston and Millington. They get Cordova this week for the Region title so we will see what happens. The Craft brothers on defense are unbelievable. (6'3 245, both of them). They have a FB in Josh Hayslett that is 6'2, 265 and can move. But I just don't get the feeling when I watch them that they are a dominating team.

The RB's are well above average. Hayslett is a fast freight train, Guffin and Jones are small and quick on the outside.

Qb is good, but has little to throw to this year besides his TE.

Defensive Line and Linebackers are some of the best I've seen.

Secondary is decent but untested.

 

Kicker is good, punter is not.

 

The thing about Houston/Bolton seems to be the underdog wins the game (or has the last three years). But that's because Bolton plays a lesser schedule and these two teams are about even while Bolton shouldn't lose another game this year (unless Cordova hangs one on them).

They can physically dominate most teams -- when they face somebody as big as they are, they don't have the speed to keep dominating. That said, they're really good. Mofototo, I know you're from Harding -- my advice is to hope you don't get injured much. I don't think Harding is big enough to stay with Bolton this year. The Bolton DL is just sick, and the linebackers are really good too.

 

Harding could have a some success running tunnel screens to the receivers out of the spread, and passing the ball in general, but Patterson will have trouble running the options and draws that he's so good at.

Cordova is pretty banged up right now....So Bolton shouldnt have a problem in this game although Cordova's defense is playing pretty good

What a bad time not to show up. Cordova shuts out Bolton 16-0 and with it goes the Region title. Congrats to the Wolves! Nobody thought they would be doing anything this year.

Starting QB gets suspended late Thursday, back-up goes 0-4. Cordova's already good defense loads up against the run... Bolton walked in there with very little chance to win this game.

 

Cordova screws us again.

How did Cordova pull that one off? I never would of thought Cordova would of been that good to beat beat Bolton. They have been on a roll as of late, but beating Bolton is huge for them. They could go deep into the playoffs if they keep up the momentum and play like they did against Bolton and Collierville
