Don't slight Greenbrier. They have a good program with a lot of starters back from last year. They deserved to win.

 

We had ten linemen who were new starters against GB and it showed. We pretty much got worn out. At this point in the season I wish we could play them again. It just might be a little different. But we will never know. Maybe starting next year we might see each other more than once in a season.

 

Anyway, this thread was about Lipscomb playing Ezell. This is no game from the very start. Lipscomb by more than 30.

Is that the best you have. Come on you can do better. Lipscomb by 40 unless their coaching staff wants to call off the stangs...

 

Good Luck Lipscomb even though you don't need it. I know that your program has improved and yes it would be another dog fight with Greenbrier.

You have obviously not seen Greenbrier play. Roger Herndon is one of the hardest runners in the state, and he is by no means a 1 man team. Greenbrier made it to the 3A semifinals last year and they look even better this season.

Lipsomb came into this game with a very sub-par line, which was disassembled after this game and rebuilt. also their starting tailback was out due to injury. greenbrier had also already played one game this year during week one, and with lipscomb only bringing back 5 starters no lineman the lack of game expierence caught up with them.

All of those points are correct about Lipscomb against Greenbrier. It didnt help Lipscomb in the fact that Greenbrier is probably fielding their best team ever. Greenbrier is the real deal this year & I see them going to the BC Bowl, anything less would be a disappointment for the Bobcats. Now that about 9 weeks have gone by the Mustangs are clicking on all cylinders & the line is much improved the defense is shutting teams out & basically the whole team is clicking. Hope the Mustangs can go injury free tonight & get get a big W & keep that locomotive rolling into playoffs next week.

no it wont happen again.....lipscomb was caught off guard and it didnt help that the line had no experience.....i would like to see a rematch of that game....see if the tables turn
