Anyone know which teams are competing Friday night at the Overton Fall Brawl duals?

 

Yah, I know Overton is one of them.

I have heard that FRA, Clarksville, David Lipscomb and BA will be there ----------nothing official, just rumors through wrestlers. All of these teams were there last year except DL. Hume Fogg and Cookeville, along with a team from New York, were there last year as well. I have heard that the NY team was a one time thing--------nothing about whether Cookeville and Hume Fogg are returning.

Thanks Geasely. That's a pretty good group for a little Friday night wrestling.

 

Region 6, soon to be referred to as "old Region 6" when the new regions are put in place next year, is starting to heat up. FRA, Glencliff and Hunter's Lane wrestled last night. Lipscomb, Hume Fogg, Overton and FRA will be at it tonight.

The teams were broken up into the following pools:

 

Overton, Independence, Hendersonville, Brentwood Academy

 

Clarksville, FRA, Hume Fogg, David Lipscomb

 

Overton beat Hendersonville to win its pool. Each of them beat Indepence and BA. I think BA beat Indepence.

 

Clarksville beat FRA to win its pool. Each of them beat Hume Fogg and DL. I think DL beat Hume Fogg.

 

Overton and Clarksville locked up for 1/2 and Hendersonville and FRA wrestled for 3/4. Clarksville beat Overton by a pretty wide margin-----------don't have the team score. FRA Hendersonville was a close one-----------tied 33-33 going in to final match at 152 where Hendersonville got a tech fall to win 38-33.

 

Clarksville looked really good. They beat both FRA and Overton pretty handily. They were not showing the team scores on the big clocks so I could not see them. Got the FRA/Hendersonville score from an FRA dad who was sitting nearby.

 

There were some really good early season matches. Best one I saw was Murphy

( FRA) and Ric Bundy ( Hendersonville) at 135. Bundy won a close match 8-6.

Ninth-ranked Clarksville beat Overton 48-22, David Lipscomb 55-16, Franklin Road Academy 58-21 and Hume-Fogg, 67-3.
