marshall county overcame 13-point deficit to force overtime, then took 5 point lead but central scored final seven points led by DeAndrea Bullock for 51-49 win im final second on basket by Janay Armstrong on assist from alex ross.

kind of suprises me. knew marshal co was good, but expected columbia to win a little more convincingly heading into the holiday tourneys

I'm also real surprised about the score. How did nancy do?

Nancy was in early foul trouble and only finished with 4 points. The Lady Lions couldn't hit the ocean from the foul line and that is mainly how MC got back in the game. It was a fun game to watch but nerve racking. Deandrea paved the way for the Lady Lions.

Deandrea also got away with a walk in the final eight seconds of overtime

with the game tied that would have given Lewisburg a chance at the final shot

instead of Armstrong hitting her buzzer beater.

Of course the Tigerettes also got away with a thing or two along the way, so as

they like to say, things have a way of evening out.

It was a great game to watch and should be a real confidence booster for a

young Lewisburg squad that could make some noise in Class AA this year.

The future is very very bright .

I didn't think Columbia played their best in the second half after a very good

first half, but Bullock made some nice plays down the stretch ( what a big three

she made it the final minute of OT to tie it up) and Armstrong dominated the

boards.

Columbia is really good and barring something freakish, they have a great

shot of making it back to M'boro come March. Would love to see it when they

square off against Lincoln County. That could be a pretty good ballgame.

it was a great game to watch!! the tigerettes were for sure the underdog in this contest and really suprised a lot of people by playing columbia close. tigerettes look good this season but could still use a lot of work. good luck to both teams in the future!!!
