Columbia is too athletic, too big, too quick and too good. Coffee County struggles in the halfcourt set and Coffee County can't press Columbia and have any success.

Why not try the two-three zone and not try to trap? If they are that big and fast wouldn't that be a more logical way to play them? How did Franklin Co. keep it so close? They are not that big and fast are they? Just wondering

FC didn't keep it close on purpose. They were banking in shots (without calling bankshot should be a point deduction) from the parking lot without looking. They hustled but when the rubber met the road, they could stay with the Lady Lions at all. They pressed the majority of the game and Columbia missed alot of wide open layups and 8 freethrows. they were rushing. they also corrected the problem in the 4th quarter and steadily pulled away.

Coffee Co. wont be able to stay with Columbia. Columbia is too athletic and quick for them. Coffee Co. likes to push the ball a lot in transition, so all the Lady Lions have to do is get back on transition D and try to run the ball themselves. It worked last time, and so I say Columbia by 14.

exactly. Anyway just wondering any thoughts as to a point made on the Shelbyville radio that Columbia is not having as hard a time because the teams are concentrating on beating Shelbyville while they're down that they experience the "let down" when they play Columbia? I think not it seems like everyone is at their best when they're playing Columbia, i.e. Oakland, Franklin, Franklin Co.. I just didn't think that made much sense.
