MC played very hard in a tight game throughoout. Very costly turnovers late by the Cubs w/ Central's Dunn(21pts.) sinking a 10 ft off balanced turnaround jay with 5 ticks left. MC is playing with a bit more intensity than earlier in the year.

Smith(quiet28pts) missed a desperation trey at the horn. B. Davis chipped in 14 and Bagget, Gullet and Harvey provided a nice spark in Central,s Man to Man D.

Cubs had no others in double digits(i think). Tough loss for the Cubs. 10 aa will have another thrilling finish to the regular season and tournament in Dover(fun Ride). Officials let them play in the 1st half and tighhtened up in the 2nd half. Central was shooting 1 and 1 with 90 seconds left in the 3rd Q. MC vs. Waverly next tues. and Cheatham @ Creek Wood also tues. C-Ya on the Diamond!Peace-OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think cheatham stunk it up tonight. They didnt take care of the ball while they were up 7 with 2 30 left. Its almost like they mkae progress for a couple of games, then go back to playing how they did when they were freshmen or sophomores. They dont play with much heart and wont do anything in the district tourney until they can play every game how they have against waverly and stewart county. Your absolutely right, i was definitely going to cry. I was just about to ball my eyes out. ;)

    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
