Coffey for Pope John paul beat Brooks for dickson county 10-3. All of brooks points came on takedowns.

Wow I knew Coffey was good - has been since he was a kiddo. Congrats to the Coffey family on a huge win!

Why to the family and not Coffey himself? I think he deserves it.

Grip - The last I heard this young man was the eldest son in the Coffey family. He works hard on and off the mat along with his younger brother. Their Dad is a great guy and I wouldn't be suprised if a Coffey girl comes along and cleans someone's clock. My congrats were to the family, which includes this young man.

 

Bottom line - this would have been an amazing match to see and wish I could have been there. I think a lot of the Brooks family as well! Hate to see Stanley loose, but he knows what he needs to do for February to take that gold medal back to Dickson.

 

Good luck to both of these young men as the continue to prepare for the big dance in Feb!

even tho gumbiner got beat by 2 wrestlers at this turny, he was never pinned, and he pinned 3 ppl while he was there, so i think thats pretty good...
