Don't let this board get to you James. Your still one of the top hwts in the state. I think your loss to Conley of Bolton was due to the earlier loss to Allen that same day. It mentally took you out of the tournment being your first loss of the year.

Also, Congrats on your 1st place finish at Ryan. :)

It probably is just you.  Father Ryan beat Grady, not you.  Carl out of place at 2nd?  How many times have you beat him or Stewart Allen?  Lindow, you're having a great year, so enjoy it.  You'll have plenty to brag about after you wrestle Stewart again on Tuesday and Big Carl on the 25th. thumb

I also believe a return to the rankings at 2nd place is extreme for Carl. One tournament win and the decision over Allen in 2ot does not justify this move.

I think Grady is overated at third. My picks would be as follows. :P

1st - Hazlett

2nd - Allen

3rd - Taylor

4th - Lindow

5th - Grady

Is Garza going back down?

Also, what about Haggard from Ravenwood? He is undefeated and he did beat Crossley.

I was told he missed the GP West for some kind of scholarship opportunity. I sure would have liked to see how he stacked up against Martin and Minwell.

It's hard to say where kids are going to be for state. You don't have to have half of your weigh-ins at a certain weight anymore. As long as you certified at a weight and made it under the NWCA timeframe, you can wrestle that weight anytime you want. A guy who certified at 130 could wrestle 35 or 40 all year and wrestle 130 at the region as long as he didn't lose more than 1.5% of his body weight per week.

    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
    • Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
