RedBank beats Soddy

that was absolutely nasty, I dont play basketball or know much about it, but when the whole redbank side chants "we own soddy", i know that this was a beating. my hat goes off to the redbank players for their hardwork, soddy played well but not at the caliber of RB. A good game SD, a great game RB. thumb

sorry but during the excitement i forgot the score. i think it was around ?62-53? not a totle blowout but a great game. RB led by at least 15 most of the game and by 20 a few times. SD played a good 4th q coming back but just not enough. A great game

yeah RB completely got soddy out of there game and had them running in a panic. Soddy did put together an ok comeback by being down almost 20 and cutting it to 5 with about 5 minutes left in the game but red bank hit a few 3's andput it away. good game.

Soddy just missed alot of opportunites. Red bank went on a nice run right before the half and had the momentum going. Soddy's comeback was nice and it could have been better if they had made better of some of red banks mistakes but RB just played a better game.

I never heard them chant "We own Soddy". That would be kinda funny if they did though considered they have had their tails handed to them in football the last few years and Soddy beat them already in basketball this year. Red Bank played a great game. totally outplayed soddy in almost every aspect of the game. Soddy missed WAY too many layups and put-backs around the rim. Also, I think Red Bank was a lil too quick for Soddy to go Man-to-Man. Soddy gave them too many wide open looks from 3 also! This was one of the worst games i've seen Soddy play so far (but i've only seen about 5 games).

the SD boys looked confused by the RB plays. the jingling of the keys in the last minute of play by the RB fans really had them distracted, i think RB hit two 3s and a layup in the last thirty seconds, the RB guys just outclassed them. was i right on the score?

RB just got the trojans into a run and shoot game and then SD just killed themselves with the rest of it by missing layups and free throws and giving RB too many put backs. i bet RB had about 20 offensive rebounds.....

Soddy didn't play good and got taken right out of their game. Red Bank hit several big shots. Especially late in the game when Soddy pulled back within striking distance and Red Bank came down with some big shots. Soddy is going to have to win out in the District to stay out of the playin game.

to soddy's defense, i don't think jingling of keys would have distracted any basketball team. just an end of the game ritual....

I thought this was RBs best game this year. They could have beat Brainerd Friday night. They got SD rattled and never looked back.
