In the 2nd qtr., Page outscored Loretto, 14-6, as K. Young hit 3 of 4 FT's, Spencer hit 3 of 6 FT's, Harmon had 2 with 0 of 1 FT's, L. Young hit 2 of 2 FT's, and both Bagsby and Morton each had 2 while Loretto's Stone had 5 with a three and Brewer hit 1 of 2 FT's as Page led at the half, 23-18. In the 3rd qtr., both teams scored 9 each as Page's Bagsby had 3 with 1 of 1 FT's and Harmon, L. Young, and Morton each had 2 while Loretto's Franklin had 4, Cross had 3 with 1 of 2 FT's, and Stone had 2 as Page led after 3 qtrs., 32-27. In the 4th qtr., Loretto outscored Page, 22-11, as Birdyshaw had 8 with 2 threes and 2 of 2 FT's, Stone had 5 with a three, Green had 5 with a three and 2 of 3 FT's, Cross had 2 with 0 of 2 FT's, and Hannah hit 1 of 2 FT's while Page's Bagsby had 8 with 2 of 2 FT's, K. Loretto won it in the 4th qtr. as their three point shooting was great with 4 as Birdyshaw had 2 and scored all 8 of her pts. for the night, Green had 1 and scored all 5 of her pts. for the night, and Stone hit her 3rd of the night. Page had a great game from Bagsby, but others missed some FT's in the 1st half that hurt their cause. Page's 5 turnovers in the 4th qtr. compared to Loretto's 2 did not help either. Loretto (8-1) has 1 district game remaining with Marshall Co. (4-2) and appears poised to be the #1 seed in the district tournament. Page (4-3) has games with Lewis Co., Giles Co., and Marshall Co. as they hope to get the #2 seed.

Great coverage Page Man. Did one of these teams slow this game down or did the pace just work out that way? Loretto seems much better than they did early.

How do you see them matching up with Cheatham and Harpeth?

Page did slow the pace somewhat since Loretto is such a great fast break team. In my opinion, Loretto was a little off last night after they played the previous night at Deshler, AL. They might have been a little tired from the travel to Page as well. I think Loretto should match up well with either Harpeth or Cheatham. It should be a great regional tournament at Page on Feb. 28, I believe.
