Your reply served no purpose other than to try to make someone feel stupid.  You need to find another hobby man.  This guy just wanted some advice from some people he felt he could turn to.  Instead, you give him your snide remark.  I hope you feel better.

If you can't say something constructive, then refrain from posting.

Hey coach, why don't you lighten up.

This board isn't my hobby.

Suggesting seeing a Dr. is constructive advice.

I don't think my remarks were snide.

And, yes...now I feel much better. Thanks for your concern. (That's a snide remark)

Drainning a knee vs and ear is a little different. I do not believe that you would have the same problem that you did with your ear.. also I would probably change doctors if you are nontrusting due to your ear experience.

If your knee is swollen.. then there is probably fluid.. see a Dr.. he may drain it and give you a shot for the swelling and pain, you will better much quicker if this occurs. If you wait and it is swollen then it will take quite a while before it gets better. If it is drained due to the swelling, more then likely there is something wrong with your knee and will "probably" swell again 6 months to a year after you get it drained.. if so make sure you get it checked out after wrestling season just to be safe.

If no swelling and just tender and sore.. then ask your trainer to look at it... ice it or put heat on it depending how long it has been sore/injured... would recommend a kneepad for a few days until it feels better.

anything anyone can do with a fluid build-up in the knee cap... any advice to help it out or should i just wrestle throught it regardless??

Well kid it is probably from being on the knees too much which wrestlers get often from being thrown on their kness... I would tell you if there is no Athletic Trainer there where you are... first if there is go see that person and they will help you.... but if not ice it before and after wrestling it may take a little longer to get going but it will help with the pain... also go get and ace wrap and wrap the knee semi tight (tight enough to helps the swelling push out but not tight enough to cut circulation) starting below the knee and working back up above the knee.... when you aren't really doing anything keep it elevated.... you can also have somone help you push the fluid back out while your knee is propped up ( but make sure you push the fluid back towards the body and not towards the foot or you will get a swollen calf and ankle)... not to mention it wouldn't hurt to take and anti-inflammatory because obviously something is inflamed. Hope this helps for your region matches if you get it before then..

Hey coach, why don't you lighten up. (I'm trying, I'm almost down to 170lbs :D )

This board isn't my hobby.  (No but sarcasm seems to be)

Suggesting seeing a Dr. is constructive advice. (It was the sarcasm in your post)

I don't think my remarks were snide. (most people who make them, come back later and use this as an excuse.  You know how many students tell me they didn't think they were being rude, but in reality they were.  Face it man, you were trying to make this kid feel stupid.  I usually don't go off like this, but when a kid who is seeking sincere help gets ripped on by a remark like yours, I'm going to say something.)

And, yes...now I feel much better. Thanks for your concern. (That's a snide remark) ---> Glad to see your starting to see the problem you face.  Remember, admitting you have a problem is the first step in correcting it.  : )

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
