How closely have you followed Cody and Dan this season? If Cody can beat Barnett, so can Dan. Dan's up 2-1 so far in this match-up and it may be done.

 

Also, you do know that Joel Konz has beaten Dan Waddell at the McCallie Invitational? Cody came back and beat Joel at Ryan. It's that "given day" thing.

yeah saying baylor could take the best of D-I is a stretch they would deff have some contenders but state champs of D-I are some strong wrestlers.

The individual tournament is one thing with a deeper pool like D1, but duals are a whole different animal... Baylor may have the edge in duals, but not by much against Franklin or Bradley.

Also close enough to know that it seems to be a "fuel tank issue." Meaning Cody seems to fade as the match progresses. waddel doesn't. I think it's the size difference. Cody seems small next to the other three guys we've mentioned.

I'd say Baylor would win 125 and possibly 145 but no more. 112 would be a good match but many of the rest wouldn't last long.

I have to disagree with you on this. Baylor's 119 (Hussein) would win DI easily. There is not a DI 119 lb wrestler that can stay on the mat with him. Unfortunately, he has to wrestle Dunning in DII.

Well the reason for that might be the fact that he may not stay at that weight at state, we will have to wait and see...

He's referring to Hussein, a new kid from the middle east. He's just learning the sport, but can challenge anyone in Tennessee purly on talent and limited training (time-wise that is). Tough kid, nice find.
