Saw that there was another thread about this and thought I should bump this up so folks can start submitting their entries. Once we know who is coming then the predictions should start. It should be a great event and there could be a lot of 'sleepers' as well.

whats the deal with singlets? if you cant where a singlet that shows a team or school the wrestler represents would a wrestler be able to wear a singlet with the school mascot on it?

No they wouldn't. TWF is a club based, not school based, organization. TWF's long standing policy regarding singlets is that they cannot have the school name, logo or mascot on them. It is to comply with an agreement with TSSAA that took place in 1990.

The singlet can have no logo or printing on it that would indicate it is a TSSAA high school singlet. This is not a TSSAA sanctioned tournament. It is sanctioned by USAW and Tennessee Wrestling Federation. That is the policy throughout the USAW/TWF season as well. You could wear a singlet from your school only if it is logo and name free. Here is an example - we have a group called 'Sharp Shooters' and they are a TWF chartered club and they have a logo on their singlet that is a Sherriff's Star - this logo is valid on their singlet. If your TWF Chartered Club is Tiger Wrestling - you can have a tiger head/paw or the word Tiger on it.

 

However - if you wrestle for Franklin High School - you cannot wear any singlet representing FHS or Rebels. However if the club has access to singlets with no wording, lettering, logos representing FHS or Rebels, they could wear them.

 

However if you plan to compete in freestyle & greco wrestling you should try to wear shades of blue or red.
