National Record Question.

Does anybody know what the national or state record is for 3 pointers made in a year by a team? The UC Messenger reported something about Westview breaking it or something, it was very vague, and I have not heard anything about this. Any help would be appreciated....

 

I know Westview is averaging about 10-11 3 pointers made a game, but never even thought that they might be at a record pace.

 

I think it would be in the National Federation of High Schools record book,if anybody has one....

I doubt very seriously that any National records are being broken in West Tennessee. Westview does hit several 3 pointers, but they don't have any national record. Who would believe the UC Messenger anyways?

Don't be surprised Denny Crane, they have made several and are definately the team to beat out of 13AA. They should win this district and region, but, then again, Westview seems to never be able to win a region championship. I would say that Westview and the Gibson Co/Obion CO winner in the district will advance on to substate.

If the record for 3 pointers made in a season is really that low, it must have been broken a thousand times over the years...doubtful -- I imagine these coaches and girls care little about national records, and much more about getting closer to that gold ball.
