rigger101
He wrestled Bateman in the Quarters at McCallie and beat him 10-8. 825566193 Thst's what I was looking for! Thanks. If that is the case it should be very interesting! Good luck to both but My money is on Justin Knox. I've seen him face all the kids at the Collins Hills duals and dominate. I love this sport. Good luck to Clarksville they have a great program.
Thirsty Turtle
Minwell's current record is 22-14, i'm not really sure how he manages to hold his 2nd ranked spot every week, i guess Matman must really like him! I guess you don't know Matman. He doesn't give rankings out just because he likes you. and Hamm is the one who does the rankings. If it was for that reason he would put Aron Martin up as the number one in 171lb. He uses is system and his rankings have been pretty close if not right. and Minwell is a heck of a wrestler. That is why he is number 2 right now. And don't everybody count out Aron Martin. He is a heck of a wrestler and he has been on fire as of lately. He's won the Brentwood, Greeneville, and Region 7 tourneys, and got second at McCallie to a GA wrestler. He lost to Bateman and Kirn twice. He lost to Walsh in preseason, but that doesnt count obviously. That's 4 losses. I may be forgetting one or two, but not 10. And with all the matches that Clarksville wrestles per year and bc he hasnt missed any matches, he at least has 35, prob 40 wins. That's why he's ranked no. 2 and sometimes ppl give up and are outworked for state, but sometimes they have a bad weekend and it doesnt count how much work they've put in over the season bc there arent any second chances if u lose twice in region. For those ppl, it is a shame that good seasons and hard work end that way, but that's life.

texas23
Most of the weight classes were flat out loaded in this region (130, 135, 171...fill in Clarksville won the team race comfortably but they are certainly not "in tact". Soddy and Bradley breezed out of their respective regions with all 14 and will have a definite advantage next week. They are excellent programs but would not have come out of Regions 5, 7 or 8 as easily (maybe ANY of the other regions, I'm just not very familar with the others). I don't think many will look back to this week as being inequitable. It's just part of the beast that has been created by improving the wrestling in the area as a whole instead of just building programs locally. I don't think any Region 7 team will be in the team hunt next week, but I think all the Region 7 teams will be pulling for each other and there should be a lot root for. 825564201 If any of those teams wrestled in the soddy or bradley region, they would not come out in tact either. Lower places and some wrestlers pushed out of qualification for the chattanooga tourney. It is just they way it is each year.
