Club K is awesome.

Club K is one of the premier instruction facilities in the nation. I would especially recommend pitching instruction. Cheri Kempf (excuse the spelling) is one of the most accredited pitching instructors in the nation and all of Club K's instructors are trained by her. She wrote the pitching chapter in the NFCA Softball Coaching Bible.

  • 1 month later...

During the winter coaches meeting at Nashville. I heard a couple of coaches saying if you was not an elite player. Ms. Kempf would not have anything to do with that player. A high school coach was saying that he used to bring a couple of girls (a three hour drive) for lessons and they had a flat tire and was 15 minutes late and she would not work with those girls for the remaining time of their lesson. Said they was late so she would not work with them. He said they do not go to her after that. Do not know if true only passing on what I heard. Another coach said he took a girl to her for one lesson and joined and he could never get her to work with her again. He said he thought the lesson went good. His player was a very hard worker. He didn't understand why. I do not know if true or not but I do not have reason to doubt what they say.

<_<Ms. Kempf offers a program to pitchers who are serious and willing to work more than one day a week on their pitching - yes it is offered to her best pitchers of the club - sometimes some of her best pitchers can not take the program for one reason or the other - but she works very hard for the best interest of all the members of the club - I do not see her putting someone out b/c of a flat tire and being late - that is not her personality - she and her staff are the best around - the work ethic of the individual young ladies has a whole lot to do with her program - she is the best

I am not trying to drowngrade anybody. TNT ask about club k. Sometimes when a person is making a decision they want to hear all the good and the bad so they can make an informed decision. As I said I do not know if it is true or not but the coach who was telling the story is a high school coach who has been to the state tournament within the past five years.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
