best pitcher in chattanooga

There are alot of solid pitchers in Chattanooga, it might be hard to pin one down as the best.  I think graceshooter might be a little biased in her assessment.  I do think Tiffany will have the best season of her high school career this year though.

I do agree that Grace doesn't play near the competition that Soddy does, but Tiffany Walker is the best pitcher in Chattanooga. WAters is a VERY close second, and for her to be a sophomore, that's saying a lot. Third best is the freshman from Hooterville. I can't wait to get out to the Ooltewah/Soddy game this year. Not sure if Hooterville has the bats to support the pitching, but it'll be good. Maybe that 6 year drought can come to an end!

 

Any of you from Soddy, what is Waters' physical makeup like? Is she as tall and athletic as Tiffany Walker? I personally don't see how she could be, but please enlighten!

I am not from Chatt....but play summerball there more times than not. I am at a loss.....Walker plays for who in the summer? I don't recognize her name...maybe I would her face. I know Waters...have played against her several times. She is impressive, and you can't argue with her results. I wouldn't be so quick to slide Thomas (fr-ootlewah) in at 3rd. I know she is not tested in TSSAA...and due to her age, may be unknown to many, but from what I recall, head to head on summer teams, Thomas has come out on top over Waters more times than not....and with a younger team.

Tiffany and Nikki are very fine pitchers. But there are two others that need to be looked at:

Adrienne Lamberson @ GPS......she didn't play last year due to mono, but she is a very good pitcher.....watch out for off speed stuff

Kyra Lee @ Boyd Buchanan......in the shadows of Sarah Warren plus knee surgery last year but she could have started for many teams and was only a 9th grader....in fact played for Boyd as an 8th grader.

Nikki Waters definetly progressed as the year progressed in 2004. In the first 10 innings we faced her (5 in Beech playday and 5 in Choo Choo Classic) we scored 10 runs. The next 10 innings (Worth tourney) 0 runs. She will only get better. She didn't have an experienced defense behind her as Soddy was very young. As this team continues to mature they are going to be as dominant as any Soddy team I have seen and I've watched them for a long time.

Fine Nest.....and your point? I was mainly making a comment about the pitchers, not who initially voted for them. I still think everyone is focusing on just 2 or 3 girls and there are 4 or 5 worth talking about.

Dont forget the big three in east ridge high school. PAIGE GOINS carried all year last year. Now we have back Ashley Adkins and also Tiffany Baker.
