BUBBA61
First time these 2 teams met it was an absolute massacre. Will this time be any different?

harvo20
A great win. Wartburg led by as much as 20 in the fourth quarter and CAK came back before finally being put away. Everyone played a great game, and this is a great win to give Wartburg some momentum heading into tournament time.
Raining-Threes
One of the keys for Wartburg was getting Novikoff into foul trouble early. Also it seemed that every time CAK got a basket, Jeremy pushed the ball up the court and got a lay-up without much resistance. It just goes to show u that its hard to beat the Bulldogs in the Pound. Ro8432
I think everyone in Distrcit 4 saw this coming. As good as Wartburg is playing it's no surprise that they beat CAK. This might be good for CAK in the end as it brings them back down to earth. Of course it is easy to be confident with such a good record and since they had such a big win over the Bulldogs earlier this season. sportswriter 2
I agree- great game, great team effort. I have to say that everyone played really well but in my opinion, the younger Shannon (DJ) sparked the team when he returned to the game in the 2nd qtr. He got 7 points in under 2 minutes- capped a 3, he stoled the ball resulting in 2 pts, and forced yet another turn over-and 2 more for shannon. Leading them into half time score of 34-30. The Bulldogs did not trail anymore from that point- Awesome play for this young man. However, as I said -everyone contributed and made differences- from the players that played, to the benchs support and encouragement and the Bulldogs fans...... AWESOME!!!! Way to support those dogs. Come tournament time , the girls and boys, are going to need that home court support from the fan/student section because several of the teams coming to play, can be a spoiler- GO BULLDOGS-
harvo20
Jeremy Shannon - 18 points Jerriel Inman - 9 points Brent Hamby - 9 points Adam Vespie - 12 points DJ Shannon - 10 points Jason Melton - 15 points Alex Melhorn - 6 points Big efforts. Someone posted that Shannon couldn't score in big games. Point proven.
