CC girls are still in the running, although not for the championship, they do have a chance for a good spot. Powell beat them last night 60-36. They did play their hearts out although they lost. Jamie Byrge, one of the key freshman starters, has been benched with a torn ACL against Halls back during a season game. Although the other freshman starter ,Chelsey Jenkins, has stepped up, CC still misses a key 3 point shooter.

wow, who would have thought that the same teams that played for the championship and 3rd would be the same that played for them last year. I think that Powell will pull this out though, after losing to OR last year in the championship, gives them more of a drive and it is at OR one place they want to win at more than any where else. Powell all the way!!

I think Oak Ridge girls want more this year because they have been told that they couldnt do it!!! They couldnt make it to state!!! Lets see if they can pull it out!!! if KeKe has a good game with more than 20 pts and they have some other people step up and score and stop Powell they could pull it out!!!

This game is what basketball is all about. It should be one of the greatest games this year. Powell and OR have a rivalry goin on and since it is for the Championship, it just adds that much more to it. Rebounding will be a major key in this ball game. Keke may get her points, but if Powell will shut down everyone else, OR doesn't stand a chance. I'm looking forward to a great game and hopefully Powell will come out district Champs. I don't like making predictions, but I will make an exception - Powell by 5.
