Just found this interesting:

 

Of the top twenty teams, according the the Strenght+Success Rankings, six have been eliminated. Gleason (3), Dresden (5), DA (8), Richland (12), Collinwood (16), and Jackson Christian (20).

 

The lowest ranked teams still alive are Rockwood (51) and Boyd Buchanan (57).

 

I guess rankings really mean nothing come tournament time.

I take it to mean that the strength rankings are good information to have during the regular season to know who is playing well, and it is a good conversation starter. But when it comes to tournament time, anything can happen. Computer rankings don't matter once they toss it up in March.

 

You are right. Boyd and Rockwood didn't have to play those teams. They have to play the teams in their district and region to advance. That's what I'm trying to say. You just have to win the next game to move on.
