Humboldt is done. That 3rd quarter killed them & it is getting worse! Their shooting sounds way off. I have never been very high on Humboldt's coaching!! Just one more state tourney let down!!

Wow what a game!! Congrats Middleton on the big win. The rest of the games have big shoes to fill. It will be hard to beat the excitement of that game. It had the drama of 2 comebacks (1 for each team) & a last second steal and buzzer beater!! That's the way every state tournament should start off!!

Congrats to Meredith!! This was a great choice by SGCHS. They are getting a great role model and someone that is very familar with West TN girls basketball. She was an outstanding player @ both the High School & College level with a very High Basketball IQ. I think we will see great things out of her and her future teams!!

On the football side of things I agree about it not hurting GCHS, but I think it will help SGHS. The kids playing @ Medina middle will get to continue to play together once they reach highschool. The coaching staff will have an easier time teaching the players if most of them are on the same page. I know there are countless other county schools that have several feeder middle schools and do just fine mixing the different kids together to be successful but in the case of GCHS it has just never been productive. Maybe GCHS' coaching staff needs to have a coaching clinic with all the middle school coaches and atleast get them on the same page with fundamentals. They can coach however they want to but you have to get the basic fundamentals started early on. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Sorry if you thought the "idiot" remark was pointed at you but the ones that keep harping on this without any knowledge or proof of the situation is where it was meant to be pointed. Maybe Coach Suiter's reply will hush some of the critics!!

Well said Coach Suiter!! I commend you for taking a stand but these idiots on here making these accusations don't deserve the attention they are getting. Most of these people are kids that don't know their butt from a hole in the ground and the rest of them are just crying over spilled milk. As long as you and your staff know what happened who cares what anyone on here has to say about it. If there had been any wrong doing on either side we would already know about it. Instead you have rumors that have been lingering around for nearly 8 months. Everyone needs to bury this topic. It has been over and the crying should be also!!

Yea it will be interesting to see where they draw the line in the sand. Does anyone know if Medina elementary is still overloaded. Last time I checked they had 9 or more kindergarten classes of 20-25 kids. Well they think they have something worked out with the middle school to start classes there until construction is complete. I never had much faith in the projected opening date to begin with! They just didn't leave enough room for error. Does anyone know what the boundary line will be for South Gibson & Gibson Co.?

It has already pushed the opening date back to November instead of August. If I was a betting man I would say there are more weather setbacks coming and I don't expect the school to be ready until after the first of the year.

Yea we can't compare the talent pool but Dex has built a solid program. He has had talent come and go but He has kept his program top knotch. There aren't many programs that can make the jump from AA to AAA and stay as competitive as Liberty has. I credit that to the entire Liberty team but it all comes back to coaching!

IMO South Greene is a better team than LA and we know how that turned out. I am with GCP Pioneers by 15+ I will give you 5 since it is for all the marbles!!

It makes as much difference as all the losses LA had during the regular season 0%!! Yall got hot at the right time and GC has been hot all year especially since tournaments started!! Thats what he was trying to say!!

I have finally gotten to watch CR over the last couple of days and I will admit I was impressed with their size and style of basketball. They are well coached and very fundamental. They def. don't look like they belong in single A at all. They would be an elite AA team and probably could win a gold ball there also. It is hard for me to guage that theory when I haven't seen a single A team good enough to push them. IMO CR looks even better because the other single A teams that made it don't look as good as years past. Im not trying to take anything away from CR but OS really disappointed me today. I thought they had enough size to keep up with CR but they played awful. They didn't have any shooters and kept trying to go inside on a team that had bigger players than any team @ the BORO! CR's second 5 could have beat OS. I would love to see CR play Gibson. That would be an awesome game. I think both teams have a lot of weapons. I think GC would eventually wear CR down but we will never know! I see why CR doesn't have a Miss BBall finalist.... It was 2 hard to pick just one! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> If they win tomorrow it will also be hard to pick an MVP the scoring has been very balanced. I respect your opinion. We just see it 2 different ways. You have some good points especially needing a coach to be patient enough to work with the players for two years before playing varsity. Dexter was ahead of the game when he started based on his playing experience. He was a superior player in Highschool & a very good player @ Union. Does being a good player automatically mean you will be a good coach... No but it did in Dexter's case. He always had a high Baskeball IQ and that has carried over to his coaching. Sorry but we are comparing apples to oranges when we compare the two guys from Medina middle and Dyer middle to Dexter. The age they started coaching might be the only way to put them in the same category. I'm not saying they can land a previous state champion but i think the coach needs more experience. Like the previous poster said why not take a look at some of the assistants on these really good programs in the area. I could see Vaughan and Lowery as a #2 waiting in the wings for their chance. That way they get some mentoring from an older coach and they still have their hand in building the program. If a young coach is the answer I want to throw Coach Durall's name in the mix. She has as much experience as the two you mentioned. She turned around a Dyer girl's program that went 0 for her first two seasons. Her team won the county tournament; beating a Vaughan coached Medina team to do so.
