2 of the best teams in this area. Even though Brainerd has been tested and Central really hasn't, I still give Central a slight edge in this one. I expect this one to go down to the last few possessions. Look for Free Throws to determine this one.

Central is highly skilled and athletic. Brainerd has little chance. On a side note, congratulations to Ryan Montgomery on scoring his 1,000th career point. A wonderful accomplishment.

Central and Brainerd both have strong teams. Ryan Montgomery is a fantastic player. He is a even better person. Free throws and turnovers will be the difference in this game. Really want to see how both will stack up to Hamilton Heights as the season progresses. Rodney Benford, Terron Hayes and JaMichael Poole are all outstanding players as well. Should be a great game.

Nice win for Central tonight. Lots of potential there with this group. Keep rolling. Brainerd will bounce back and have a strong season.

Central heads into the Best of Preps with the addition of a 6'7" big man. This kid will add depth to a front line that is already pretty good. He was a transfer. This could prove to be the key that drives the Pounders back to the 'Boro. Lots of season left, but this is a mature, outstanding team. Gonna be a great Best of Preps tournament. Hope Central gets to play Ooltewah in the second round!!!

I've got Central going a long way this year. Adding the big man with Montgomery, Emmanuel Lane and the guys only strengthens this already talented group. Good luck Fellas.

We should see if the "big man" makes a difference on tomorrow. Chattanooga State will be packed(standing room only) So get there early. So glad Central moved it. Makes parking so much better!!

Brainard had 2-10point leads in this game(25-15 & 39-29). Panthers got sloppy and Central slow-walked them down. Pounders win 64-61 and stays unbeaten in District 6-AA.

 

Central comes to Tyner on Tuesday where the Rams are unbeaten as well. Should be a good one!!
