3 Classes in DI

3 Classes in DI will be separated evenly by enrollment based on total number of schools participating. Divisions should have roughly 75-80 in each classification.  Is this about right??

East still has Knox Catholic.. They should dominate this area given they can get kids from multiple counties. Unless they choose to move up to play AAA Soccer which is highly doubtful.

I am also hearing that a lot of the single A schools that are listed Co-Op. From what I have been told, there is an amendment that has been provided to TSSAA that schools that co-op in sports will have the 1.8 multiplier added to the enrollment of the larger school.

That's interesting for West TN. Very few Class A schools field soccer teams. Madison will clearly be the front runner and the other team headed to state could be anyone honestly. Union City or a Memphis school maybe? Depends if TCA/JCS go D-II

TCA is staying, JCS is leaving. Westview, Mckenzie, Peabody, Union City will be your best bet from that side. All depends on how the districts fall

Without JC the door is wide open. UC has been good the past couple years, but if Peabody can produce players like Greene, Piazza, or Grooms like they did in the past they can threaten. Westview has always found strenghts and were young this past season, and the Memphis schools traditionally has strong speed.

 

McKenzie, Scotts Hill, Adamsville, Gibson Co. and South Fulton (and other schools I forgot about) can take advantage of the opportunity. Should be interesting to see who will join Madison in Murfreesboro.

Signal Mountain falls into class A with the new division next year. Scheduling and gates will suffer but we'll continue to play AAA and DII powers as we always have. Anyone looking for a quality single A game next year?
