True...alot of our kids have played with or against eachother since they were 6 or 7yrs old...I know because I coached some at that age and it will be extra special to see these young men have grown up under my watch and now could possibly bring home the gold from my high school!!! So naturally I speak from the perspective of I know what they are capable of...so after the chips fall we will start the convo all over again, who will be the 2017 state champs....lol...gotta love it!!! We are competitive by nature, so ain't nothing wrong with a smack talk to get you pumped up....lol...one things for sure, either way it goes, whitehaven will party Saturday night...grown-ups only!!! Thanks

when "Da Haven" stormed the field it literally made the fans look terrible and made the school and memphis look bad. Grow up have some class and celebrate in the stands. No one gets special priveledge bc their from a certain city so stop defending that bs. They should have arrested everyone that stormed the field, bc they technically were breaking the law. I do not care if it was your first state title or not, you celebrate like everyone else

Yeah Memphis!! Grow up and show some class like all the NCAA schools do after a big win. Stay in the stands and you players keep all that hootin & hollarin down.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
