7 AAA

Gonna be hard pressed to not say they are the front runner out of the gate. Overall it seems like pitching will be a big part of the district. Seems like there are not many big time hitters as compared to in years past. But with the rule changes this year, it could get interesting. Oakland has two commitments (Zac Lemerand , Jacob Pennington) both seem to be overrated.

1. Siegel

2. Blackman / Stewarts Creek

3. Oakland

4. Riverdale

5. Smyrna

6. LaVergne

I agree with you for the most part. However no matter how "down" they are expected to be it is hard for me to see Riverdale finishing 4th and I just do not see Oakland finishing that high unless they have added some new players or had some really good freshmen last year that did not play varsity.

One thing I think we can all agree on is this will be another great season in one of if not the toughest districts in the state.

    • This week will mark the mid-point of the 2025 high school football season. Covington opens play in Region 7-3A by hosting Obion Central. These teams have not met since 2012, a game that Covington won 56-6. The Chargers lead the series 19-6. It has been quite a while since these two have been in the same Region. According to Massey, Covington will be a heavy favorite. That Match-up tool predicts the Chargers to come out on top 42-13. We  wish safe travel down  Hwy 51 for our neighbors from Troy. Prayers for a clean game with no injuries.
    • No sir. He wasn’t talking about you.
    • You sir are 100% wrong. Springfield had 4 in the first half alone, went back and watched the game on YouTube. The refs didn’t beat Station Camp, Springfield did. They were better plain and simple. Like stated above Station Camp’s biggest problem was trying to run up tempo and not getting set, that and holding Springfield’s d-linemen when they got into the backfield. Anyway good luck to your team going forward. Always remember, stay salty my friend.
    • Monterey’s coach has lost this game three years in a row trying to throw the ball. All three games woulda been closer if Monterey woulda just stuck to running the ball.
