ok from what i hear mr basketball was started in 1986 so lets do a poll. follow me here, because this will be fun. there have always been three mr basketball winners each year, A, AA, AAA. if you had a 3 on 3 tournament with the 3 mr basketball winners from their respective year on the same team which year would win? im saying the 1992 team would be really stout with steve hamer, stanley caldwell, and tony delk. what do you all think?

problem with mr basketball is this state is so big people just dont know everyone in the state. plus the competition sways so much throughout the state its easier to avg 26 and 12 against oakdale, sunbright, jellico, and coalfield. its not so easy against humboldt, union city, and the likes of d-14 but who knows. my prediction is A- Fountain AA- Lindsey AAA- Hubbs

get ready for a battle tonight. i dont ever get on here much but i was board in class couldnt resist. i think hampton fans got a bad taste from cosby because of what happened to townsend in 06. we all knew he was their all state back and we had to stop him. freak accident and breaks his leg. we had the utmost respect for him never wanted to hurt him. but that was in the past lets talk about this year. im really biased toward k-rone being the best to ever play qb at cosby but #8 this year is the real deal at qb for cosby. the 3rd and final rone is a baller great mix of his two older brothers plays tb and de/lb. hampton is hampton get ready for off tackle power football. my prediction is cosby 28 hampton 22....by the way weather looks great on the hill

i feel like im a very good judge of talent and been around for a while if yall dont think basketbll is down in region 1 yall are crazy. i agree cosby is down as well. i just feel like hamptons players arent very good at all. maybe it was a bad night i dont know but i do know if cosby played either one of them teams it would b close.player for player i swear i think unaka is better than hampton not cloudland. it baffles me how hampton won the league ill say it again. if cosby didnt kick of their 2 seniors the day of the game they wouldve beat unaka and in my opinion beat cloudland next but we will never know. but i look forward to a stong campaign next year. good luck in substate once again

i understand what it takes i played in the state tournament and saw about 7 cosby teams make it down there. all im saying is as far as sheer talent they are no where near a state tourny team amd will have their hands full with a well coached wartburg team. i think cloudland wins at home and hampton falls on road. ill say this much it was a unreal atmosphere last night. i wish cosby was in your league so we could see that every night. district 2 is a joke and will be worse next year. cosbys jv would win that league next year. all we can do is keep playing a strong out of conference sechedule. this is the first time ive been on here in a long time nice to see king is still around. keep suporting yall's schools there isnt many schools like us left i love to see gyms packed out like cosbys and cloudlands and unakas makes it all worth wild

in my opninon i honestly thought unaka was better than hampton. i have no clue how hampton won that league this year. player for player unaka and UH were better.. after watching that game last night it was the first time i saw hampton play, i thought hampton was very overrated. i also head someone compare that mcclain kid to hughes.. i laughed my head off its not compariable even when nathaniel hughes was a sophmore. but good coaching will get you down the road. i thought cloudland was the better team not close. if cosby were full strength i wouldve liked their chances to win the region this year.. mised s good chance to go far in a weak region year. all of you can agree this region is no where it has been the past couple of years. but everyone is young including cosby so next year should be a fun year. but good luck in substate region 1 hope you both make it to the boro

LMAO. you got it all wrong. cosby tradition drives a 1984 chevy with a 6 inch lift with 35 12x50's for fun. if yall knew this guy you would love him. trust you would like to have him on your side cause i love him being on mine.

cosby would beat cloudland by 10 to 15. that press wouldnt hurt cosby. how many times did hamptons press turn cosby over. 0! cloudland would have nothing for conard. makes me sick hampton let cloudland beat them in the district championship. cosby and hampton both are good enough to be in murfreesboro sucks one had to go home. after that being said hampton is one of the better single A teams ive ever saw around here. and i played on that 34-2 team at cosby in 06. qnd played against unaka state champ team in 04 this years hampton team is right there with em. good luck down the road boys. Hey buddy i think you need to ckeck out cosbys schedule again. beat 3A jefferson co, 2A seymour, 2A meigs co. 2A union co. they have beefed up their schedule big time. the state decides what district theyre in. i like how you pointed out the weakest teams on the schedule.

if im not mistaken the free throws were more like 35-5 in favor of hampton. im a cosby guy myself but that is not becasuse of the refs at all that was because hampton played so hard. i really believe cosby matched up better with cloudland, i think cosby is better than cloudland. but its a game of matchups good luck to region 1 down the road

I dont see how in the world you can call the game between Hampton and Cosby a TRAP game for hampton. i guess you dont know the definition of a trap game. that was 2 really good teams going at it and one winning which is what had to happen. both these teams get almost everyone back and i look forward to these teams meeting again next year.

so pujo i was a senior for cosby in 06 "we had some battles" and hampton had a squad with townsend & lunsford and company. where does this years team stack up against that one?

last night against chuckey doak showed that herzog is the athlete in the region not even close. he had 11 catches 213 recieving yards and 3tds. three punts inside the 20 two inside the 10. and an interception to seal the game. one of the best performances ive ever seen in high school football. i honestly believe without herzog they wouldnt score a td (aside from hancock). ive never saw a kid keep his team in the game like he does. special kid for sure

You better circle cosby on that calender. The Eagles have the dawgs number. every year it has been close then they finnaly got over that hump. it only gonna get easier. i bet that cannon dnt get rung one time this fall when the eagles roll in to town. herzog will do whatever he wants and our sopf running back will run untill he is tired. see ya
