well i apoligize greatly for your loss. but i really had no clue why your coaching staff was wear shorts but now i know. i never said its was foolish or idiotic. i jus said ive never seen that before which was true. it did look pretty good tho, i liked the white shirts. i wasnt criticizing you jus throwning that out there about the shorts, wasnt trying to make a big deal jus some small talk.

Im pretty sure slatten is at culleoka now, ive heard he is an excellent coach.

i was really disapointed in the way the kids played, i didnt thinkl they played with alot of fire at all, the team that played the hardest was by far summertown, i enjoyed watching them play. am itr seems like single A schools all ways bring the best crowds. i played for cosby and we always brung alot of people to the boro.

I didnt get to see the kelly kid play, but i did get to watch jackson. ive been watching the state tourney since 99 and he is one of the better talents ive seen down there. but "the show" disapointed me in alot of aspects to his game. could play alot harder on the defensive end and be a lil more respectful. but what a player, look forward to watchin him next year

sone of the better ones i seen was union city 2 years ago, soulth fulton with trey pearson, and ezel harrding in like 01. but ive only been keepin track since like 98. which i was 10 years old then so it is hard for me to remember be for then. but perry co must of been raw in 97 going 37-0

Jody wright could be one of the better coaches in the state, i know its a stretch but bolivar and btw had more talent than fulton all the way around. ( i know steele and galman are great) but jody wright can flat out coach.

i feel the exact opposite, no offense please but brainerd jus rolled the ball out against BTW, didnt do anything fundamental at all. i didnt see any coaching at all. and how about redbanks coaches wearing shorts, ive never seen such a thing by coaches at a state tourney

Well i went an played for cosby, we have been pretty darn good. been to the state tourney 7 times with 2 state runner-ups. thats nothin to snarl your nose at. and thats region 1 by the way

im not bias had no team in the tourney, but summertown was my fav team there. i loved the way they played an their fan base was great. reminded me of my cosby eagles

i just got back watched both of thems first 2 games, im from east tn so i really like steele an want them to win, but jackson is on a WHOLE diff level. best player i seen not close. wish his attitude was a lil better but oh well he can flat out play.

you are probley the stupidest person ive ever read on here, seriously! no where in your rambling have you came close to making any logical opinion. the way the state tourney is set up is fine, its the way its always been. there is no way to determine before the state who is better, thats why they play the games. i jus got back from murfreesboro last nite an i got to witness some things, west tn's schools fan base is a joke. they didnt bring anyone. when a small town single a school goes they back each other. for instance summertown, they had twice as many fans as anyone there, an thats one of the smallest schools that was there. thats what its all about for some of these east tn teams, and you wanna take thaty away?

The only 2 teams that have more talent than This years Bearden team in the last 7 or 8 years is 06 Hamilton team that went undefeated and the most talented is by far Memphis Mitchell. Thad young (G TECH THEN NBA) Brandon Powell(FLORIDA) and 4 other d1 signees. Bearden has 5 legit d1 players. and there bench is really really good

i agree with you 100%. im only 20 years old but its not close they are the best team ive ever seen in the state of tennessee!! an ive been to the state tourny many times. the way they played against oak hill i couldnt believe it. the only team i think compares is the 97 cleveland team with vincent yarborough an del baker

yes my friend i remember those teams well. cosby was the state runner up in 99 an 2000 and could really go. but they didnt have to play the humboldts and union citys either. see union city an humboldt were both at the state tourny in 2A jus a couple years ago its hard for these small east tn teams to match up with teams like that. your right it goes in cycles east tn will be back on top before long, hopefully. and yea grace wouldnt want any of cosby or hancock. they wouldnt know what to do with coggins from cosby or seal from hancock haha they both would get 50

i dont think a gold ball will be brought back to east tn by single A school for a long time. i would say unaka got the last gold ball for a single A coming east of nashville for a long while. an that was 5 years ago. those teams in memphis play a different brand of basketball. i played for cosby in 06 when we were 34-2, but when we got to murfreesboro we ran into a team named humboldt, im realistic an you wont see a team like that east of jackson. i feel sorry for the graces or cloudlands or UH's or whoever makes it to the state in region 1 or 2 cause your goin to see a brutal beatdown. best of luck tho hope we east tn teams do well

im from cosby an i watched us get man handled at home (which dont happen often) by UH first round of the region. in my oppion UH is playin better basketball then anyone in the region, an if i was cloudland my smile wouldnt be to brite about playin them. i predict UH wins the region. ill say this much i think the cloudland girls have a supurb team, that number 15 can play

i played for cosby an they was in our district my whole high school career. its really not a big deal them playing in that district. yea they are private but i believe it is better having them in there some of the best games i ever played in was aginst grace an c.a.k. tough luck get better they have two really good players who have worked hard an deserve the shot they are getting. its not like they are world beaters an jus run away with single A. they didnt even win their district. give me a break about them not suposed to be there

i totally agree with mike wright, i think he is a great coach. i think brad flatford at cosby is an outstanding coach as well. Both of these coaches are fairly young and have lots of upside to them.

you have to put eric coggins in the top 5 in east tn. he is one of the best shoters ive ever seen. im pretty sure he is 3rd all time in the state of TN in high school basketball 3 pointers made. to be 5'8 he could absolutly stroke it!!!

if cosby keeps running the football well i believe they will win by two tds. the front seven on D have showed what they are made of. this is a week where the secondary has to show up for sure. Every cosby player should make there way to knoxville on friday and watch grace an cloudland game. good luck to tha eagles. you've got a shot at doing something thats never been done at cosby in wining a region championship, thats special boys!!
