  1. The boys down in the trenches for Goodpasture will wear down the line from LC both ways beleive it or not, they are just too big, too strong, and too good. That being said, the Cougars will run all over the place with the holes the line creates. They will also be able to throw the ball with good pass protection. Pretty much, Goodpasture will just physicaly man-handle LC. GP-49 LC-17
  2. Like this obviously very sensible person above me said, anyone thinking that Goodpasture played poorly and let adamsville put 18 on the board is very sadly mistaken. Goodpasture is a team with class, they don't want to embarrass anyone out there, especialy a team like Adamsville with such good attitudes and sportsmanship. Hats off to both teams on a very clean, well played game. Goodpasture should hang about 50 on Lewis County next week. Whoever predicted a 13-0 victory is way off. This Goodpasture team has an avg. of about 48 points a game. Now, CPA @ Camden has the potential to be a good game, and in my opinion a fairly close competitive game....Unless CPA gets out in front early, which will mean a long night for Camden
  3. Something tells me you aren't going to have to tell these "prep boys" to come get some, because CPA or Goodpasture will give you alot more than you can handle. CPA and Goodpasture should meet again in the 3rd round unless something goes drasticaly wrong. Anyone who hasn't seen either of these teams play just doesn't quite understand how dominate they are. They are definatley two of the top 5 in 2A. I'd say they are very possibly #2 and #3, Alcoa being #1 until someone in 2A beats them, which is entirely possible this year. Remember, these "prep boys" put on the pads just like everyone else, and go out there and play the same game...when they beat you, you may realize that.
  4. I can see DCA pulling an upset over Camden, but that a longshot. DCA would have to play a really good game to pull that one off. But hey, you never know, its the playoffs. Also, I think Adamsville may stay within 50 of Goodpasture, that will be a vicotry for them.
  5. I think that goodpasture will win by as many as they please. Everyone at GP knows that they have come close a few times to breaking the school scoring record, and if I were them this would be a chance too do it, not without class though. Get up early and see if you can't get the younger guys in there, get them some experiance. You aren't going to have to play this team year in and year out, so we will see what happens I guess.
  6. AKA Milan's little problem and making them forfeit games....in responce to pballer44's comment

  8. Well, I'm not a GP player, but I'm a student, and I think that at the moment they can talk if they want to, they are just destroying everyone that they have come in contact with in their region, and beat a very good 3-A team in Lipscomb, and beat a D II team in JP II...they have some room to talk, and they go out and play every week...end of story.
  9. Lets not get carried away and start giving away a state champs yet...
  10. The team to beat Goodpasture may be Goodpasture indeed...but I think it is much more the supporters on here than the acctual team that thinks they can't be beat...I don't play, but I know that crazy things can happen in High School football...lets just wait it out and see what happens
  11. Crazy as I may be, High School Football is even crazier
  12. So, I think I may have the best idea here...along with cougar...why don't we all just drop it until December 2nd, when we know who really is #1. Crazy things happen in High School football, we all know it, and one of these teams may not even go to the buro. I don't know about ya'll, but it's not a good idea to argue all the time about a game that may not ever happen, and look like a complete fool later. When and if they both go to the Buro, everyone can then think about the game, but until December 2nd I don't know that anyone has any room to talk any trash. Lets show a little bit of respect on here guys, give each teams there dues, but wait until it's over to talk trash. December 2nd we will know whocan really walk the walk, not just talk the talk...and thats all this board is....talk.
  13. Goodpasture may finally break that school record for points in a game, i can see GP putting up at least 80 if they want, and they could very easily shut DCA out
  14. Yea, all I know is that Benji Cunningham is the fastest kid i've ever seen in HS football....and I watched the Alcoa GP game last year, i'd put him up with Shiverdecker...
  15. Spurrier was definately in Florida last night for his induction into the Florida ring of honor, or something like that, according to everyone on TV
  16. so who knows, maybe the ol ball coach got to see some people outside of Tico...if he was there, cuz I didn't see him, but I didn't look for him either...all I know is that GP just dominated the entire game...
  17. Hard too argue with any of these guys at all....but the coach from Goodpasture, David Martin, it would seem would have to get a little credit...he's got himself a few gold balls, and went to the 2a state champion game last year, and is rolling along again this year, currently 5-0, and sitting in region 5-2A, one the best 2A regions in the state...
  18. Yea, but you never know what might happen....rumor has is that the old ball coach is gonna be at the game for Tico?
  19. Yea...well Goodpasture is averaging over 40 points a game, through 5 games, im not sure what the exact number is, but pretty impressive
  20. But you gotta have depth....all good teams that want to go far have depth, that way when someone gets hurt, you have someone who can step up and replace them
  21. Yep, and notice the only team out of the three that bragged about it that is doing any good....Goodpasture
  22. I'd love to see Cunningham and Tate start from the same spot and see what happens....
  23. They get thrown at all these private schools? I assume there will be the endless battle between public and private and everything else in the world, but I know after watching the Goodpasture game the other night, that Fairview just didn't stack up against the cougars at all. But if you care to know, most of the players on Goodpasture team have been going to GP for as long as I can remember, or as far back as 9 yrs ago when I started there. Sure, some come in around 5-7th grade, but for the most part, GP just works hard, and improves all the time, and I don't see why people can't just admit that when they get beat, they got beat by the better team that night and move on.
