  1. I'd say that the Mavs have a pretty good coaching staff now. Led by Wallace, Lollar and that kid that use to play at AC. Mcneely may be his name. Maybe that coaching staff can lead the Mavs back to the promise land and to the Murphy Center in March. Heard that they work together well as a unit. I guess thats what happen when ex-ball players coach. They no longer have the skills to lace em up on the court, so they have to re-live their glory days on the sidelines
  2. Keep doubting that Young will not have a game changing performance and the Admirals could be in for a long night. Young isn't the only RB in the backfield that can carry the football. Both Landers and Wilker also will handle the inside running game for the Bulldogs
  3. If Bearden plays like they are capable of, this game could be one for the ages!!! Devrin Young was not healthy last time they played, and that will make a huge difference in this game tommorow night. Bearden will put alot of pressure on Browning and will force the Admirals to go to their run game...which actually worries me alot. Last time around, Bearden's LB, Williamson did not play. He is a difference maker on defense. I plan on getting there early, because there may not be an empty seat in the house. Here is to a replay of the 07' playoff game when the Bulldogs ended the Admirals playoff aspirations!!! Go DAWGS!!!!
  4. Bearden should come into this game very prepared. The last three ballgames the Bulldogs have played, they have played well. Devrin is ready to have another breakout game, and some added incentive is the Bulldogs 1st round playoff lost at home to Soddy Daisy last year. The Bulldogs will be ready tonight at 7pm...Leonards Losers Smokey Bears by 7
  5. When the economy is down, so is the trash talking....looks like we got more important things to worry about than message board postings....on that note, I just don't see Bearden winning this year. There 1st 5 games of the year were cupcakes and now that they have come to the meat of their schedule, we will see what the Bulldogs are made up. The loss of Davis Tull hurt more than most people know. The kid was a playmaker on both sides of the ball. Without him as a WR target, most teams can focus in on Devrin and hope to contain him. He is a little hammpered by a linguring groin injury. Tommorow night should be a great game. Anytime that Bearden and Farragut face each other, it will be an all out BATTLE!!! Good luck to both teams
  6. That is a stat and they are like opinions everyone has one. So if thats the case I am going with eaglepride1 RC 42 Bearden 2. And like eaglefan said you haven't played us yet. well we do have a common opponent....Walker Valley.....we beat them 44-0 and you lost to them 28-20.....I'm just sayin
  7. I still think that the DB from Karns, RAY RAY could match up well with FUNK FUNK on the court of the field. Also the kid from Oak Ridge, Bey Bey is one of the brightest kids that I know, but still has alot of work to do to catch up with the kid from Hardin Valley, Lo Lo
  8. Bearden is giving up an avg of 4.3 points a game this year....I don't see that average going up this week.....Bearden 35 Rhea County 3
  9. Bearden is playing their 1st home game of the year....they are 3-0 with all victories coming be over than 2 touchdowns....I'm taking the Bulldogs big in this game
  10. he will be one of the more exciting players to watch this upcoming season. Not only is he a stud in the backfield, but his play at Cornerback is amazing to say the least. The Bulldogs should be really well this year. Even with the addition of Maryville, Farragut and Catholic to the Region, they should be able to be one of the front runners. I can't wait for the season to begin
  11. glad to be back...truth is.... i forgot my password and just now had it reset. I've been so focused and geared up for Football season, that I'm just now getting back onto the message boards
  12. What you don't know is that Blevins does alot more than just getting his players recognize....the things I have learned under Coach Blevins will be enstilled with me for the rest of my life...its easy to get on here and bash a Coach for his basketball philosophy, but don't get on here and bash him as a MAN....Coach B will always have a special place in my heart. He teaches young men about hard work and dedication. They can decide whether or not to take those lessons to heart....just my two cents
  13. Didn't his Dad have a HUGE blowup with Blevins at the state tourney? Where you at FeartheVeer? ENLIGHTEN US! I believe that you are correct my friend....big blow for the Bulldog program
  14. As practice gets underway this week for local high school football teams, I wanted to get an idea of whom some of the top players in the Knoxville area will be for this upcoming season?
  15. How can you pass up a membership at Dead Horse.....great move on Coach Wells part
  16. Before Blevins came to Bearden, he was the head girls basketball coach at SD....stranger things have happened
  17. one year as district champs....quite alot less than that of either Bearden or Catholic
  18. once again...when was the last time Loudon won the district, region, substate or even gone to the state tournament....i rest my case
  19. and when was the last time Loudon made the state tournament?
  20. and one of the reasons why it is always on top is because of the coaching. I can't remember the year, but Bearden didn't have a starter over 6'3 and still won 20 games...that is good coaching. He coaches with what he has to play with. I think Blevins would win 15-20 games a year at any school he would go too...but why would he ever want to leave Bearden
  21. It still worked 33 times (Bearden can't control the teams it plays) ....very few teams in the state can say they won 33 games
