  1. Hey, Bret Jennings, congratulations on the game last week. Hope you have a great season. Tell your grandpa hello for me. He'll probably know who I am. I'm watching from down south----you know, you got a little of that Rebel blood in you too. Good luck Son.
  2. To the Tn Viking in the Blue Shirt----Thanks for being there. I'm sorry I could not find you and your precious wife in the confusion and panic. You know who I am--------call me. P.S. You look good in Blue.
  3. To the TN Viking in the Blue Shirt------thanks for being there, and I'm sorry that I could not find you and your precious wife in the confusion and panic. Call me, you know who I am. Thanks, P.S. Blue looks good on you.
  4. One thing about living in the past is that its something that actually happened. As opposed to South fans who live in the future, or something that has not happened. A good example was in 2006 when Southers were barking about how bad they were going to beat DB and then when it came time to put-up or shut-up they had to shut-up to the tune of 44-0. Thats the difference in living in the past and living in the future. Hey, Whacko Jock---speaking of the past, someone in your past must have once told you that you are regarded as a knowledgeable person. Not football, maybe car parts. Go take inventory of your car parts, do something contributing.
  5. Nahhhhh--Whacko Dwight's got too much time on his hands, it takes more then one thread to fill his time. Guess the car business is really depressed now.
  6. Comp--haven't been on here in a while, and all this drama and ignorance is why. You are right about the 'supporting' the boys. I have yours and you have mine, and I appreciate you for it.. What else do we ole farts have to do, right? Here's my thoughts----it takes very little time or effort to stop, call his name, shake his hand, say "I'm watching you and I'm pulling for you". Sometimes, maybe, the boy will think "that ole fart" and just trash it, but then there may that one boy that's lifted up by your caring. You never know what's going on in his life, at home, at school, on the field---and a little investment might just pay off one day. See ya this afternoon, I hope.
  7. I think the worst part of this is the WR's. Worst case scenario is they won't mesh with either QB for trying to mesh with both...and each having different approaches will constantly confuse the WR's. I said early that Stacy would use both but I see now that that will not be a good thing. It's still early. Bradley didn't really come together until Science Hill. That's why Taylor had 29 carries. If you remember, the next week Bradley put on a show. You have to have faith that Stacy will pull it together and it will work. The fall scrimmages will tell a tale. Now, now, Satch--calm down. Are you and the Comp having odds. You know the man--and you never know if he's seriously calling it like he sees (hears) it, or if he's just trying to challenge the boys to greater performance by Pi__ing them off. Either way, it would be good (hope you are reading this Comp) if you would actually see practice some. Furthermore, it would be great to see you, Comp, haven't seen or talked to you in a while. Hope the family is doing fine. Tell your #15 that I'm pulling for him and look forward to seeing a game this season.
  8. Tight End looked good at EKU and UTC Prospect Camps. Good size and speed.
  9. Well, well, anyother piece of inspiring, intellectual football discussion.
  10. If you are are offended by these post, pls go back to the DB Thread and leave us the hey alone. There'll be no complaint.
  11. 'Sounds like you are upset that the viking kids were not mentioned, but don't be, I guess M&J was just talking south boys, since this is a South thread. But you are correct. Vikings John Ellis Davis, Al Taylor, Taylor Harmon, Brad Tallman, Pendleton, and possibly others are making the investment. Falcon--Luke Cradic has been doing the dew as well. Good luck to all.
  12. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Oh, CD, right on---we need to talk.
  13. Volman, I wish I knew who you were. In my opinion, you have the most credibility of anyone posting. Now---this is the greatest news for Col.Hts and Sullivan South community, sports, and schools since ----well ever. One correction though----it's Fordtown High------- They're still consulting with Boss Hog and the brothers to scheme against the unfortunate college of choice. but that's 4 years down the road.
  14. Hey, Jock Mouth, I'm knocking your spelling!!!!! Dwight, don't you know how to spell opportunity? It does not have an "E" in it. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I'm glad you are spending alot of time on here and I know everyone in TN is appreciative that you have less time to spend being an idiot on their threads. I sent my kids to South, that was my choice and I've never regretted it. If I had chosen to send my kids to DB, I'm sure it would have worked out just fine. I'm kind of glad, though. My greatest fear would have been that some of your "learning" might have rubbed off on them. Here's something for you---Go eat a Rock!!!!
  15. Sullivan South Rebel here-------- I met your #15 QB, another boy-I think he was a cornerback and 2-3 of your linemen at the MTSU Prospet Camp last weekend. I was impressed. Very mature, well-mannered, polite.
  16. Well, your points at play calling would be correct at first glance, but in my opinion, "development" was the very reason that those plays (running a few certain plays, rather than having 100 plays) were repeated. The freshman coaches ran the plays that Coach Carter prescribed. The spread offense --the reads that the QB and RBS make---is a little more complicated than the I or T or Spit backfield with the QB under center---and it was all new to these boys. They concentrated on a few plays in order to develop these new kids, to get them running the "main diet" of the South Spread. Good or bad, right or wrong----I think this was the intent.
  17. To set the record straigt, there was no dissension amount "parents and coaches". There was some dissension between 1 or 2 parents and coaches, and the parents were completely wrong in how they handled it---"it" being their precious did not play as much as they would have liked. One player, in particular, has not played football since he was 8 (I think), and now all of a sudden his pappa is yelling at the coach from the sidelines. The main problem is that the pappa thought he could intervene and have an impact on his son's playing time. WRONG!!!!! Ignorance and Arrogance!!!!!!!!!!!! not a good combination.
  18. I have purchased (donated) a Reserved Parking Pass to the PSParents for the last 2 years and it's the best way to support the team. 100% goes straight to the boys football program, as there is zero costs to the PSParent Org. It is a great gift, as well, to someone who is handycapped, or for older fans of whom you do not want to see walking thru the parking lot in the dark with the traffic coming and going. It allows you to park right up front, even if you arrive in the 1st or 2nd Qtr of play. You get priority leaving the parking lots, as well, after the game. I have shared mine in the past with friends who were coming into town and arriving late (so that they would not miss any of the game) with people that I've invited to the game, with older friends who can't get around well. Buy 2, one for you and one for the grandparents. Again 100% goes to the boys.
  19. He is very good---but I sort of cracked a smile, as well, when I saw that.
  20. I haven't heard that--but wihile on the subject of transfers---I hear that Jake Weaver, talented 8th grader at Holston Middle, and '09 Freshman, is thinking about making the move.
  21. Well, the last time I did this, one of the South's parents climbed my butt, because my opinion left their son out, but here goes: QB--Aaron St.Clair, Senior, with Junior Heath Haden making a run, but Aaron will prevail. RB--Boobi Taylor, Wes Williams, both Seniors, with Jordan Cassell and Hubbard (both Juniors) possible stepping up. Center-- Junior Nick Solt, returning from 1st team OT. OG---Senior returner-All Conf. Ryan Fuller on the right side, and Taylor McGothlin, Senior, on the left. OT---Returning Seniors, Sam Conaway and Zach Ervin Jake Logue, Senior, defensive starter, could also help on Offensive Line, as well as Sophomore C.J.Morelock who had a great freshman season. Austin Hyder, if he improves his footwork and footspeed. TE---Returning Senior, Ty Garvin, and returning Senior, Clint Phillips WR----Returning seniors, Seth Waterson, Dillon Ellis and Ashton Zanoni. Will need to find a 4th--may come from Jordan Cassell, Drew Shanks, Cody Shipley. Def::: Linebackers---Returning All-Conf. Seniors Ty Garvin and Clint Phillips on the inside. Caleb Anderson, Senior, could take over one of the outside spots left by TJBlanken,--- and Aaron St.Clair, Senior, on the other side, but doubt the starting QB will play defense-------look for Sophomore J.C. Garvin to make a bid for that spot. There's also Juniors Hubbard, Griggs, and Senior Long --all there to make a stand for a starting LB spot. Nose Tackle----??? Just don't know--it's wide open for someone to "meanup" and take. DT---Retuning senior, All-Conf Jake Logue and senior Dillon Hammonds. Corners---Returning Junior Taylor Rowland and returning Seniour-All Conf Safety Ashton Zanoni. Safeties----Returning Seniour Dillon Ellis and Junior Jordan Cassell--is my prediction. I believe this about does it--I wish I had a program handy---may have left out a few.
  22. I read evey posts that you've made, and now it's time for me to speak up. I'm not even going to waste my breath on the obvious, Barb has addressed your ridiculous behavior regarding your attacks on Fletcher, but--now this bit about "These guys take so much away from what Greeneville accomplished"--that is simply BullSh_t. The Greendevil players are not going to let anyone take anything away from them, they are NOT as stupid as you make them out to be------You are an embarrassment to the players to even represent them on these boards. If you are really concerned about the Greendevil player's mental health-----------you should shut up.
  23. Shoudn't have come to that-----I've watched the video 7-8 times and played the last TD in regulation, that was called back, over and over---and I can't find the hold anywhere. Volman said it right-----refs did the best they could (well maybe), but the calls just didn't go our way. Congrats----Gville
  24. Well, I can-------they need to be there--proud and very loud.
  25. All-Right----Baby!!!!!!!!!!!! The Inner Circle------We're in there-- like underwear.
