If I remember correctly, Gleason did score a single offensive touchdown and scored both of their scores on special teams. How does this makes sense then?

I love that TCA keeps winning and keeps getting picked to lose. I really think you are underestimating these guys. This should be great game in Jackson.

TCA rolls 42- 0 and looked good in every aspect of the game. In the first half, they scored on 4 of 5 possessions and only not then because of a fumble. The first and only incomplete passes and punts were in the second half. If TCA plays like this, they will be hard to stop.

You might want to go up a little farther north and watch Milan and Westview that are playing for the region title.

Look for TCA to continue to gear up for the playoffs. This game may not mean much on paper(both teams are in the playoffs and neither can change their spot), but i understand it is senior night at TCA and these boys have been through a lot in four years (remember the losing season, discipline issues, losing a heart-breaker to Lake County in the playoffs) to not give a lot for this game. I see TCA rolling through this one as they prepare for the playoff by 30.

FCS I like that unbiased. Looks like SP and TC would be a huge first round game.

I guess we need to just Regions 4,5 & 6 play for the title, since those are the only teams that continue to get noticed. I think the teams in the east and a couple teams in the west, namely McKenzie and TCA( which these teams are getting no love as they should). Im sure that TSSAA would love to hear that the playoffs will only be between 4, 5, and 6. Can we get an unbiased(unbiased by not putting 7 teams from 2 regions as the top in the state) top 10 poll back on here????????

TCA looked good Friday night at Fayette Academy for the region championship. Lexington has more athletes to pull from, but I think TCA has more to lose right now. TCA is trying to gain momentum heading into the playoffs with this the biggest game left on the schedule. I pick TCA by 10.

I believe TCA has taken the tough road this year by entering into tough tournaments. I believe that they lost to the eventual 6A champion from Alabama in the Worth tourney. Also, they finished in the top eight of the Hendersonville tourney that had all kind of powerhouses there. They swept the St. Benedict tournament that had plenty of good teams from TN and MS. They are definitely still a force to contend with. Although I agree with Chemteacher in saying that usually its harder to repeat than it is to get that first one. TCA has great pitching with the Renfroe girls, solid hitting, and good defense... what else do you need?? I also heard that the Friendship coach made an appearance at one of their games, obviously FCS must see something to worry about.

TCA will return 3 starters and having good experience on the bench ready to step in. They went eight deep this year and at some point all eight had double digit games. They have two freshmen post players that will come in and will not lose any of their size. Lake Co is essentially returning everybody. Gleason has a great coach and will be in the mix to.

I take TCA in this one. Lake Co. does not have the size to match up with TCA. How close the game is depends on how well LC is shooting the ball. TCA by 14.

These teams have met three times. Twice in the regular season and in the district championship. The Lady Lions from TCA have handled business in all three of their previous meetings, but we know its hard to continue to beat the same team, especially if they are good, over and over. Look for this one to be entertaining with a chance to host sub-state and probably avoid going to Gleason on the line tonight. Dont under-estimate Scotts Hill, they are great team that has been overshadowed as to what TCA has done. My pick is TCA by 12.

Yes this is true... but it will also be the number two teams. TSSAA thinks they will make more money this way. Which with this region will probably be true. I look for Adamsville, Middleton, TCA, and Westside to all be hosting the first round of regions. After that, it will move to JCS. The number one and number two teams from each district host the first round and semifinals move to a host site.

I believe it goes to margin of victory first between the two. So if the first time one team beat the other by 9 points and the next game was only 6 it would go to the team that won by 9.

I would agree that Adamsville deserves to be up in that list somewhere. The game Friday night at TCA was a good game and Adamsville finished that game very strongly.

I was just wondering if we could get a weekly Top 10 poll for the boys as ptguard12 does for the girls. The poll is very organized and well thought up. ptguard12 obviously knows what they are talking about and have very useful information. I didnt know if that was possible over here on the guys side of things.

I was at that tournament. TCA just took Dyer County out of their rhythm. You could tell that DC wanted to run and force up tempo, but TCA handled their pressure and in turn slowed down the tempo. TCA played hard on the defensive end making DC work extra hard for anything they got. TCA's lone loss came to McKenzie when nothing went their way and still only lost by 4. TCA did receive most of the breaks in this game, which usually has to happen for a good team to get beat. DC was easily more athletic than TCA. The foul numbers might be a little skewed considering that DC plays in your shorts defense where guys are all up on their man. When a teams plays like this they are going to have a lot of fouls. I look for both of these teams to make a little noise this year.

So whats West TN look like?? Who do you see coming out of Region 7 and 8 to play in the substate to make that ever so coveted trip to the boro??

That may be true, but you have to remember that TCA only started in 1986 and not until the last couple of years have they been competitive in district play. Look for this district to be more competitive than the last couple of years. It should return to being as competitive as it was before USJ and Middleton left for their respective places.

Its easy to pick Adamsville first. Yes on senior night, Jackson did dominate, but like I said before they have more talent coming up. If the team at TCA can mesh together like last year's team it could be the year that they hang the banner, because they have more talent they just need that unity. I think that the TCA / Adamsville series will definitely determine the district champion.
