  1. Eurosport shows the game at 5:00, but it is actually at 7:00 in the stadium. Should be fun.
  2. HSSoccer, pretty acurate summary. Franklin dominated the first half. Ali changed his configuration for the second half, went to two forwards instead of one, much more even second half. Franklins second goal came with about 10 second left in the half, would have been nice to only be down 1-0 at half. riverdale made it 2-1 on a header off a cross and scored their second goal on a corner kick. Rained pretty good most of the second half but don't think it was a factor. Franklin is very good in all aspects.
  3. Whitey, you misinterpreted my response. I wasn't questioning your question, just saying that Tullahoma is usually competetive no matter what pre-existing circumstances there are. Sorry if it sounded different to you. I've never been called Mate before, kinda like the sound of it, though. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. Tullahoma's competetive every time they hit the field, Warren should be no different.
  5. HSSoccer, your killing me. You posed the question for predictions of the Riverdale - Franklin game and as soon as someone picks Riverdale you feel the need to bash them. If you had a clue you would know that Keeperfan is actually a Blackman supporter. Every one of your 10 or so posts has been Siegel is the greatest and takes a shot at Riverdale. I have no problem with your support of Siegel, but your need to put down Riverdale at every chance is growing old. I'd venture to guess your probably a player for Siegel and can't stand anybody supporting your rival. You are right that comparing common opponents may not be the best way to compare teams. Siegel lost to Brentwood Academy, who tied Tullahoma, who Riverdale beat pretty easily. Every team is going to have a down game now and then. Just ask Brentwood Riverdale did hold then #1 team in the state to one goal and has not given up more that one goal in any game. I saw in your previous post that Baylor could have scored more but missed some chances. If you use that argument, Riverdale could have beaten Hendersonville by a large margin. Shoulda, coulda, woulda doesn't play. Baylor did score 4 against Siegel and I'm sure had plenty more chances but missed also. See the post by BUtifulgame. Made his pick based on firsthand viewing of both teams and advantages. Didn't feel the need to attack either team, just gave his opinion. Very nice post. You could learn something. See you on the 14th.
  6. I believe the game is at 7:00 on the stadium field. I think Tuesdays game with Franklin will give a better comparison to how we should match up against Siegel
  7. First half went mostly Riverdales way. Scored early, then had shot after shot but didn't finish. Second half went mostly Hendersonvilles way, Scored early to tie the game and was the more energetic of the two. Fairly physical game, the center ref didn't call much either way, the AR's called more than he did. Hope Ashley and Sarah can recover from their injuries before the Franklin game.
  8. Canes, what is your problem today. You've got Ladypatsfan PO'd on another thread and now you go after the Siegel fans by purposely spelling their name wrong, Not even funny.... The common opponent would be Blackman.
  9. Riverdale has Hendersonville, Franklin and Shelbyville to play before even thinking about Siegel. Lets see how we fare with these games before making predictions
  10. I'm pretty sure whoever made the original statement was referring to the personel on THIS years Riverdale squad, not previous years.
  11. Canes, thats just an ignorant statement Made it to state 2 years ago, beaten by Hendersonville in final 8 Last year came within 1 game of state, beaten by Soddy in sub state. Only 8 teams make it to Chattanooga each year. Teams like Bearden, C'ville, Siegel, Franklin, Houston have tremendous track records of going every year. Riverdales program is on the rise and they will be a team to contend with in the future also
  12. I believe Siegel is hosting this year. Also heard that the second round has been moved from Siegel High School to Siegel Park Complex due to a MIDDLE school football game.
  13. Eurosport show the game at CCS. Don't know much about CCS, but Soddy gave Riverdale one heck of a game. Looking at common opponents I give the edge to Soddy, say 2-1.
  14. Good job Kayla. My daughter played indoor with her this past year. Could a Shelbyville booster please update your scores on Eurosport. Thanks
  15. Congrats to a very young team. Watch out for them next year
  16. Pretty big discrepancy on a couple of teams. The surprise to me is the drop of Siegel in both polls. Is a 1-0 loss to a very good Brentwood Academy team enough to validate that drop??? Not to me.
  17. Wow. Those girls for Baylor are terrific. The subs played as good as the starters. First thing my daughter told me after walking off the field was that Baylors sportsmanship was first class. Scoreless first half. Baylor scored about 8 minutes into the second half. Riverdale had some opportunities, but Baylors defense was pretty tough. Hats off to the Lady Warriors. The defense played superb without packing the box. Great game.
  18. Siegel hosts Riverdale in football tonight also, don't know how many will come to the soccer game.
  19. I'll be at the game, but will post the final as soon as I can, unless the team goes out for dinner afterwards.
  20. I hear ya, Keeper and I don't disagree. Although tough to field a JV team with only 19 girls total on the roster. When he puts his subs in, he keeps the defensive starters in.
  21. LCHS 2 LCHS 0 I didn't know you could play against yourself /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Just kidding, who is the other LCHS ???
  22. I was hoping you would chime in with your thoughts of that defense. Worked for a while against Riverdale, but eventually caught up with them and allowed too many break-aways.
  23. Again, the red card on Riverdale and the soft red on Briarcrest are tongue in cheek comments that relate to the "Its not all about scoring" thread that was brought up to discuss some of the blowout scores. As for the Riverdale score, it was 6-0 at half, and the nonstarters and JV played almost all of the 2nd half. I know some will disagree, but reigning in those girls who don't get to play as much and want to show Coach Arman what they can do if given the chance, is pretty tough to do. Since most of these girls know each other, some are good friends, and played together in the summer, there was no taunting, no bad sportsmanship. Handshakes and hugs after the game not only with the players, but also in the stands between parents.
