  1. Could this be the Crush's year to overtake Brentwood ? Or was the weather a factor ? D Isn't this comparing apples to oranges? BUSA Elite is the number 1 team so far in RPL while BUSA Select is ranked toward the middle.
  2. I believe that there are coaches that schedule games in order to run up the scores. That way their players get more recognition. One goal against a quality team is not going to get the press coverage that five goals gets against a lesser team. Parents play into it. Our coach has a goal limit for a player and plays lots of JV players if the game gets beyond a three point margin. There are parents who get upset. In the end playing quality teams may help to make it into state, but it is hard to stand on the sidelines and listen to parent talk about the thirty goals they (excuse me, their child has scored) this season and why they deserve all the awards.
  3. Coach Ali said she got all ball.
  4. Wait a minute, Siegel has to go undefeated to be District Champs, but Riverdale can have a loss and claim it. I believe if Siegel loses they would still be co-champs with Riverdale being first seed. If Siegel ties or wins then Riverdale would be third seed ( a tie would put RIverdale into a tie with Oakland and Oakland would get the higher seed since they beat Riverdale.)
  5. Just curious- how does that roster stack up against Real Madrid or SRFC Strikers playing in college.

Blackman should have a strong team. Who have you played in preseason? It would be nice to see results to compare with other teams.

What was the score of the Oakland-Columbia game?
  8. Brentwood Premier "94 won 1-0 over North Texas Champions
  9. Should we not be voiceing our complants to Tennessee Soccer? I thought we were members and they were suppose to work for us. I personally hate the way the have diminished the state tournaments. No open tournaments, the reduction of games, and now the combination of the division 1 and division 2 tournaments. Select is not one of their priorities, we do not bring in as much money as rec and don't even get me started about ODP. Maybe if the State realizes that people are upset and that "they are not going to take anymore" there would be a change. What are we so scared of?
  10. Why did Redoubt 94 girls decide to leave Redoubt and join East Ridge?
  11. Coach Arman stepped down as the girl's coach at Riverdale today. We will miss his intensity and his love of the game. Good Luck Coach.

Cussing on the field is an automatic red card, remember Blackman last year, Siegel girls the year before, a red card means a two game suspension. Good luck appealing, I have heard that TSSAA is very open to that and am sure it will be reversed. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Maybe I am reading this wrong, But number 7 plays for Lebanon was red carded and was not asked to leave the game? I am sure the Oakland coach would have pointed this out. This just does not make sense.

MSC didn't call off their tournament, the city did. The same people who decided that a soccer field built on a flood plain did not need drains are the same people who decide on the use of the field. Ask Brentwood and Franklin about their tournaments last year and last weekend, they have as little power over their tournaments as MSC. By the way Bill Vice is doc at MSC, so I am sure he would allow the games to be played there if he had the final say.
  15. Just curious, but I see a defender named on the forward list and a forward who never played midfield named on the midfielder list. Do these coaches really see the games or what? No dog in this fight, but just wondering how acurate the list is if the positions and players don't mesh. Dana Schwartz a defender? She was Brentwood's biggest offensive threat. Great player but not a defender in the games I watched.
  16. MSC '92 needs to be in the u-17 division. Strikers Premier 93/94, state league winners from last year has broken up with most of the girls playing up on the '92 team. MSC Strikers '92 is a u-17 team coached by Paul Thompson, the Strikers '93 team coached by Rick Bean is a Division II team.
  17. Just a quick question keeper fan15, has Siegel Soccer impressed you yet?
  18. Wow, You were right. Siegel wins. You predicted back in September that it would be Siegel and Brentwood in the finals-with Siegel winning, I can't believe your foresight and faith. Now if you can look into the future of the stock market.......
  19. Heard second hand that it was not the best first half by Riverdale, but they came back second half and spent most of the time on their offensive end.
  20. It is a mute point, Siegel wins in second overtime 2-1.
  21. Siegel -Tori Hawkins 9th grader. Great utility player, has scored several goals and has provided assists in almost every match. Has played for Strikers Premier 93/94 and Strikers 94, ODP last three years. Certainly a player to watch!
  22. Coach Shelton played lots of JV players and players in different positions. He began subbing players in at 2-0. He does not believe in running up the score. After three tough games this weekend he gave the varsity a rest.
