Anybody plan to give updates on the game tonight?

The Oakland Siegel game should be a fun one. Can't wait!! However, it should be interesting to see if the Siegel students show up. This year "Siegel Nation" has once again fallen low in numbers. A couple games I went to earlier in the season were pretty pitiful with the support. The O-zone will probably outnumber them easily. But, I hope I'm wrong and that the students come out in full force. It's always fun to watch the student sections battle back and forth. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I don't know if Siegel is without question the best. However, they do have a very strong team. Obviously since they are in the finals. Like fan6 said, even though Brentwood beat Siegel before it was earlier in the season. I don't think that Franklin's game will have taken away anything from Siegel just because they have a day to rest between that game and the finals. Either way both teams are very strong and it should be a great intense battle. Good luck to both! Is it true that both Haley and Kim did not play tuesday night because of injuries still bothering them? And if so, are they going to play tonight? Hope they do, that's a big loss to Siegel if they don't.

What was the cause?

Great win ladies!!! I heard that Haley and Kim both did not play the entire second half. Is that true? Does anyone have any details about the game?

Siegel was up 1-0 at half. Still the same score with about 10 minutes left.

Yes, it happens but is this is a constant trend with these teams? Idk. But do I normally see these other teams scores? No. However, I do see Riverdale's scores alot. I like the back and forth banter. My whole point about the so called softies is that Riverdale has never really had a tough OUT OF DISTRICT schedule, wasn't talking about in district. However, I am glad to hear that Riverdale is playing a tougher schedule. Makes for more interesting reading than the usual 10-0 scores. Yes, you did beat us 3 times last year. Just like we beat you 3 times the year before. Don't make it seem like beating us 3 times was something we had never done to you. I'm not gonna say we should have won those games because if we should have we would have. Yes, there were some unfortunate actions that hurt us (remember Anna Grace tearing her other ACL , maggie not playing the last 2 games /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" ) but we were not able to overcome therefore we lost. So, please do not try to act like you know that I think we should have won. Maybe you should take your rose color glasses off that make you think my sole purpose in life is to hate on Riverdale. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Oh, MVM, was not saying Cleveland was a softie, just some of the other 7AAA teams. You gave Siegel one heck of a game last october during that sectional game. So please don't feel like I included you in that. Thank you BRSoccer! It seems you understood my point even if no one else did.

This far into the season I see Siegel taking the title. They have been playing pretty solid even with a starting forward and starting keeper out. It seems that they are finally bringing it together. It also helps that the new girl Brandi is a strong player back at sweeper who takes the spot of last year star Anna Grace. Haven't heard much about Riverdale so I don't know how they are doing but I would rather make a judgement on them after they have played some decent competition, not just the usual softies.

Find it odd too that hendersonville is 0-2-2 and ranked. Siegel had good wins over hendersonville and franklin yet aren't up there? Hmm... Along with Riverdale already being ranked but not having many tough tests yet. Idk, eurosport has always had me wonder about their rankings even in the past years. Nolan has never cared about the girls soccer team until they get further in the regions and make it to state. Then all of a sudden he tries to be chummy with the players. It's the same way with the volleyball team. It's completely ridiculous. Have respect for all your sports not just your football or basketball. Funny thing is, soccer and volleyball have gone further than football ever has and just as far as men's basketball.

Siegel keeper went down hard tonight after coming back from her shoulder injury. According to my report I got the Baylor girl came cleats up in the box and hit her on the inside of her right knee. It was said that players heard a pop and that Sydney was in alot of pain. She went off on a cart and didn't return. Hope Sydney isn't hurt too bad and that she gets better. If it is bad, well then Siegel could be in trouble without her.

What's everyone's opinion on this. Siegel and Riverdale are obviously the two main powers. Riverdale took it last year. Will they repeat or will Siegel take it back efter winning it two years in a row? Where does Blackman stand in all this and will Oakland get any better after Boynton (sp?) took over?

KeeperFan, you do realize that Siegel played without Anna for part of the beginning of the season anyways because of the first ACL tear she suffered from select. I didn't see them struggle then. Anna didn't really come back until the Houston game and played ten games after that until she get hurt again in the riverdale game. Once again Siegel was without her and was able to make it through disricts, regionals, and sectionals without her. With the returning senior leaders in conrad, trollinger, sloan and dewberry I see this team making some big waves again. They have such a talented group of sophomores and juniors who have experience from that state team last year. I'm not going to say that they don't have holes to fill with winn being the all time scoring leader and miller being the anchor in the midfield but I don't think they will be as hard to fill as you think. Oh, I saw where they tied BGA 1-1 in the preseason. Did anyone see the game and was it as big of a confidence booster for the stars as I think it was?
